Needed to change our dining schedule around a little bit and I just booked the last seating for Ohana's breakfast w/Lilo & Stitch. I'm happy w/getting an ADR but concerned w/the last seating. I just want to make sure the kids get to meet the characters...do the characters hang around and visit w/the kids at the last seating? or is it rushed? Any personal experiences/advice would be great.

Thank you.

Never been to Ohana'a, but have done other late seatings for character bkfst.

The characters do stick around, and, in fact, sometimes you get much more interaction because the restaurant starts to empty out. Have fun!

We did this and I did a review. Our kids are teens but the one likes stitch so we did it for him. They also dont like to get up early so the time was good. Our seating was terrible. Right next to the wood pile. Our server was constantly disappearing, ie. long wait for drink refills, never brought syrup or butter for the waffle refill. sigh, sigh. the parade was cute and the characters were o.k. I dont think they spent extra time with the kids because there still were alot of people in the restaurant. At Chef Mickeys last seating for dinner we did get lots of extra attention. I am sure other posters might have had different experiences but that was ours. I think by that time our server was tired or ready to get out of there etc. It was so obvious.

Thanks for the replies. I'm sure everyone has their own experience...good and bad. As long as DS7 meets Stitch thats all I care about. Thanks again!

You should be fine, the characters will be there, they don't leave. We have eaten late breakfast there before and still had the same experience as we had eating at 8am. Last time we went Stitch came over to the table, knocked over all the sugar and the jellies, and then he ran away. My kids were laughing, especially when Lilo came running behind him chasing him!!!

Sounds like fun! Can't wait!

Just curious...what is the last seating time? We would like to do a character lunch on a day we aren't going to the parks but there doesn't seem to be one.

Have a great trip!

Ours at Ohana's is at 10:50. They also have a character breakfast at Chef Mickey's (at the CR) but I'm not sure when the last seating is for that one. Probably around the same time. Good luck!

Had a last seating for CRT a couple of years ago and they didn't make you feel rushed at all. Also all the princesses came around to our table and really talked to our dds and got to know their names and such. Got many awesome pictures of my girls hugging and laughing with each of them too. Plus, the Fairy Godmother was downstairs taking pictures and both my dds had a lovely conversation with her because there wasn't many people around at the time. The best thing about a Disney vacation is that they don't make you feel rushed, at all, at any part of the day.

If you have late adrs do they still keep the breakfast buffets filled up or since it is so close to lunch do they stop refilling to get ready for the lunch crowd. Thanks.

We have an 11:20 a.m. ADR for breakfast at Chef Mickey's for our upcoming August trip.

I will never do a late breakfast seating at a character breakfast again, it was our departure day and wanted to sleep in a bit. We did 10:30 at 1900 Park Faire this past Dec and it was a nightmare. THe characters spent maybe 20 seconds with us a best, we were surrounded by dirty tables and screaming families that were trying to finish up and leave.

The food was horrible, everything was hard and dried out. There was only one omelet station (they closed the other one) and the line was insane. They were not refilling anything or bringing out fresh food.

From then on we stick to 8 am

The CRT plates were preplated so they were filled, however, I have been to the buffets close to luch time too and they always seemed to be filled. They never stopped serving the food.
