Late August crowds at WDW

I have taken two late August trips to the other central Florida attractions.. and was wondering how WDW would compare.


For example, at IOA if you got there early, utilized the Express system, single riders, and other things, you could get done very easily. (non onsite guest)

I know the crowd numbers are less at USF/IOA/Sea World/Discovery Cove, and Busch Gardens (I have been to all of these!)

But I haven't stepped in a Disney park these last two weeks of August. Yes, I know that some school will be back in session, but I am a Northern school.. we don't start until after Labor Day.

Generally, at the other parks, there were a lot of British/UK folks enjoying an extended trip. Is this also true?

BTW on our trip, we will be staying at Wilderness Lodge. So we will have EE, and the transportation.

I'm also very interested in this, we're also going to the WL the last week of August and don't know what to expect! We've always gone during off season, and now with this new Fairytale package, we're wondering if it's going to be busier that we anticipated. We also start school after Labor Day and this seemed like a good idea at the time!

I think that due to the FT pkg. even though a lot of schools are in session in late August - there are a ton of people like us willing to put up with the baking heat. Hopefully won't be too bad.

We've gone several years in August and Disney has been less crowded than mid June or July. It's hot but tolerable. We've gone to get on rides but have had absolutely no lines just walked right on.

We went last August.....I think it was the third week.....and I was pleasantly surprised that it was not too crowded. There were a few lines of length but for the most part, if you utilize early entry and fastpass, I think you'll be fine. It will be hot and humid but at least you'll be in WDW.....can't really go wrong by being there.
