Late August 2011.....what am i thinking?!?!?

We did a Cruise/WDW trip in August 2009 and are going again the last week of August this year. The park crowds in late August are light to moderate. It definitely is in the middle of hurricane season. All you can do about the hurricanes is hope. At least Orlando is inland so even if a hurricane hits, it is not as severe as the coastal areas. The good news that time of year is that, if you're flying, airfare is dirt cheap.

I wish it was dirt cheap we are currently looking at 700/ticket:scared1: to fly r/t from Seattle any suggestions on what is uo with airfare this year and/or when i should bite the bullet and get it??????

Me and my DBF are going 8/17-23 at pop as well! When we tell people when were going, they ask us if we have a clue how hot it is, so I'm guessing it's going to be hot!:sunny:
I've been in june and I've been in september and Im thinking ill be able to handle it lol.

But if anyone in your family/group is anything like my DBF and really pale who just burns and doesnt tan, bring extra sunblock:cool2: Ive heard that so many times from his famly so its stuck with me lol.

I'm thinking YES twice in one year....disney so owns me! :lmao: On a realistic note, we have not been in the summer in years and I have apparently forgotten about it. Pleae tell me the good the bad and the ugly, most definately the ugly I live to be prepared. We got the free dining and are staying at Pop from 8/20-29 w/a 8 day base ticket should I splurge and get the waterparks and more option??? How many days will that give us at BB and Disneyquest? We always go at Thanksgiving and will be going again this year too so I am trying to wrap my brain around this August thing. We go commando then too do I need to accept that this won't be the case in the late summer? If so, how? :scared1: TYIA for any help or suggestions you can provide:worship:

Question for you (I can't figure out how to PM). You say you go during Thankstgiving all the time, we are going to do it for the first time this year and are concerned about the crowds. I understand that the weekend is most crowded. What about Wed and Thursday (actual Thanksgiving)? I'm trying to figure the best day or two to go to the parks.

We always arrive on turkey day - avoid the parks, then do Epcot Fri , Hollywood studios Sat and Animal Kingdom on Sunday then hit magic kingdom Monday when all the folks that go home sunday are gone! Those 3 parks in our experience are a piece of cake!! :rotfl: Have a magical time remeber a busy day at wdw IS BETTER THAN ANY DAY AT WORK!!! :rotfl2:

I understand this! I'm from Vancouver and am planning on going aug 21-sep 2 and airfare is more expensive than it was over Christmas time!!! :scared1: I would wait for a seat sale, just keep checking the airlines sites and wait until it gets closer... :confused3 that's what I plan to do cause no way am I paying $700 per person!
