We are going to WDW for our first time in Nov. Our flight will not arrive until 6:30pm. So our arrivl time at the hotel will be late, 8pmish. Has anyone had a problem with getting in late and not having a room ready or available? We are staying at the Polynesian. Any help or advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Send a fax or call 3 days before your check in date and inform the room assigner. There should be no problem, but play it safe.
Enjoy the Magic.

I would call CRO and have it noted in your reservation. If you are going at a very busy time in Nov. they could be in a sold out situation.

We arrived midnite Thanksgiving week and had no problem getting our room at All-Stars. All-Stars was full, and there were no rooms that we could have moved to. Although we did not get our courtyard view rooms as we requested, we did get the king room connecting to two doubles. As there are very few of that combination available, we considered ourselves lucky.

As we come into Orlando from the UK, we are ALWAYS a late arrival! One time it was close to midnight coz of flight delays, etc. But we've never had a problem getting our requested room and both times at AKL, we were upgraded from standard to pool view! Unless they have a serious overbooking problem (very rare), you shouldn't have a problem.

I wish you a fabulous first time at WDW but beware - it becomes addictive!

We have arrived as late as 4:30 the next morning and haven't had a problem...

We have arrived at all different times of the day and have never had a problem. I can't imagine that if you have a reservation and show up on the day that your reservation states, that you would find that there is no room. Many people pay for parts of the stay ahead of time, they can't then show up and have no room. Have a good time.:Pinkbounc

I checked in last year at 1am with no problem. I did call CRO to make sure it would be OK, they told me it wasn't a problem because my room was already paid for anyway.

Since we lose two hours heading east we always end up arriving late. I always call that morning and make sure everything is confirmed and usually the CM will tell me that everything is set. The only drawback can be when you get there after everyone else has arrived and the only rooms left are the stinky smokey rooms that everyone else has rejected. WDW will do everything it can to rehab the room for you or move you the next morning if anything else is available. But, like any other sold out hotel, there are never any guarantees.

We arrive late (well after 8:00pm) quite often, and have never had a problem getting right into our room. We've also only had one time that we felt we got a bad room that everyone else had passed on because we arrived so late.

I agree with the other poster, unless the resort is oversold, you shouldn't have any problem. And when WDW is going into an oversold situation, they generally know it ahead of time and try to make arrangements with people before they even leave home.

Thanks everyone. I feel much better. I am a little nervous about everything going as smooth as possible. Your help and comfort is greatly appreciated.
