Because of schedualing both days we go to the park will be late arrival days.
I can not walk long distances without the aid of an ECV.

We are going late October (20 & 24)
On the 20th we will probably arrive at Epcot at around 2:30 3 O'clock
On the 24th we will probably arrive closer to noon - at the Magic Kingdom.

What are the odds that time of day at that time of year that I will be able to get EVCs.

I don't want to rent off property because we are going on a 3 day cruise between those dates and wont have any place to store one (nor do I want to pay to rent it and keep it sitting in our trunk over that time period.)

You could rent one off-site and take it on the cruise with you. You might find that you have use for it there too.

I'm also not sure that it's an expense I can afford to incur over that long a period... that and I don't plan to be on my feet for five, six hours at a time on the boat. It's a matter of asthma and arthritis, as long as I can take frequent sit downs I'm fine.

You might get lucky and find a ECV available to rent, but I wouldn't count on it. They will probably have wheelchairs available though. It's kind of a crap shoot as to whether there will be a ECV available when arriving late in the day.

I agree with the other posters that getting a wheelchair should notbe a problem, but there is no way to know what the situation with ECVs would be until you get there.

The park being quite doesn't always calculate into it being non-busy for guests with special needs. The cooler temperatures, shorter park hours and smaller crowds in general can mean people stay longer in the parks. That can mean less people come early, leave early and turn their ECVs in by early afternoon, which does happen during busier and warmer times.
