I am dying to add HDDR to our dining plans we are going to have an extra dining credit and we really want to try it. The only issue is DH has a coaches meeting at our Hotel (All Star Sports Resort) at 5. If My son, niece, and I go ahead and go and check in will they let him come on in when he gets there if he is running a little late. I think he could probably be there by 630/645ish. If it is a 2 hour meal I think he would still have plenty of time to eat just don't know if they will allow him in if I explain the situation to the people at the door. The 4 pm wouldn't work at all and the 830 is to late for us to have dinner with 2 kids.

HDDR is two credits.
Yes I know. I guess I meant if we didn't use two one day we would wind up having to book two sit down meals one day which with the baseball tournament isn't ideal so I really need one 2 credit meal. I currently have a tusker house breakfast booked for one morning but I also have tusker house dinner that night and don't care to go there twice but was the only place I could really add the extra TS unless I add a two credit meal like HDDR and with two kids the 14yo being VERY picky most signatures probably wouldn't be ideal for us.

Also add to say that Several of the other families are going to Cinderella's Royal Table this night to use up their extra dining credit that way at a 2 credit meal. But their reservation is for 530 pm after doing BBB for little sisters. That meal doesn't appeal to us and the time definitely doesn't work for our scheduling issue.

If it is a 2 hour meal I think he would still have plenty of time to eat just don't know if they will allow him in if I explain the situation to the people at the door.

1) When the doors close, they are closed . . . there is no attendant at the door to open it.
2) To let folks in after it starts would ruin the atmosphere.
3) Disney expects you to be on-time.
4) For an ADR, that is simply not too much to ask.
5) If timing is a problem, try something elsewhere.

I do know one time that we went a whole family of 10 came in an hour into the show. Their table was directly in front of ours so we defintely noticed. So I'm thinking although not ideal, they would let him in. Also thinking that since the bathrooms are outside, he could probably come in that entrance and no one would know

it doesn't sound like you have little kids. how about the 8:30 show? worth the wait :)

Give the kids a snack and do the later show. He should have the chance to enjoy it too!

Not sure of your transportation choice for him but note it's not easy to get to.
Via bus/boat from hotel 1.5 hours.
Driving he'll have to park at the outpost, then catch a bus to the hall.
Depending on how long his meeting lasts he could miss a lot.

I would also do the later show, we have and it was fine.

I agree with Rusty and others. They won't seat anyone until the entire party is present. Having him come in late would be disrespectful and disruptive to others enjoying the dinner show.

Guess it will have to wait until our next trip. I definitely don't want to be disrespectful or ruin it for other guest...
