We're going to use a 'plus' option on our PHP tickets on our "down" day, by going to either TL or BB. Since we want a day to relax we're planning on sleeping in and hanging around the resort before we go.

However, since it's summer I keep hearing that you need to arrive early to the water parks because they will close when capacity is reached.

If we arrive mid afternoon (2 or 3 PM), will it still be closed, or will it be open on the assumption that some of the early arrivers will have left by then??

the nice thing about going early, is if you are there when it opens you 1) can get a chair. and 2) you can ride several slides before it gets so crowded that you stand in line on the hot pavement for a long time. i say go early! then go back take a break and go eat a nice dinner at epcot. have fun

We just got back. We where able to do quite a few of the water slides first thing with little or no wait. As the day moved on, the wait got longer. They have some pretty nice area's for relaxing at both water parks. I'd go early, find a nice place to relax. Bring a book or little pillow, some drinks and snacks. Jump in the water when you get hot, and sit back and relax. I don't know if you have kids that need watching. But if not let the older kids go play, younger kids have areas for them. Bring a pail and shovel for younger kids and they can have a ball in the sand right by your loung chair.

we went late a few times to TL, say around 3:30 to 4 pm and alot of people were heading out to probably go back to their rooms to shower or rest up. as the afternoon went by more and more people left and the lines dropped significantly. just about an hour before closing we had the lazy river all to ourselves. it was great.

The past few weekends BB has been filled to capacity. They usually reopen it at 2:00, but there will still be alot of people there and the wait times for the slides will be long until closer to closing time. We usually get there right at 2:00 and don't have a problem finding a chair, if your not picky about the location of it.
