We will be arriving at SSR around midnight on our first night. I plan on doing the online check-in for our room at the 10 Day mark. If we order groceries through Disney will they deliver them to our room prior to our arrival? If so, do they put the items that require it into the fridge?

Not sure. I have never been willing to pay those inflated prices. If we don't have a car we use gardengrocer.com although I am sure you would have to schedule your delivery for the next morning.

Normally I would agree with you but, no more than the amount of the few items we will need, the cost for convenience would be worth it if they deliver the items ahead of our arrival for this trip.

We just used the Garden Grocer for my DD's stay, a little less expensive then Disney and they delivered at 10AM even though we requested a 5 PM delivery but all was good bell services stored everything including refrigerated (they refrigerate the stuff) until my DD arrived. Look into GG and I think you will be fine, have bell services deliver it to you room when you arrive!

Last week, when we stayed at SSR, we had groceries delivered from Disney. We checked in at noon, we were able to get into our room right away, and when we returned at dinner time to change clothes, our groceries had been delivered, and were put in the fridge and freezer. We also did online check in, (tho' we spent a lot of time at the counter, including being given a choice of a couple of rooms, but that's another story). Not sure how a late night check in would work. It looked like they may have gone to the store to purchase the items we ordered (they included the register receipt), and since the store closes at 11 they may have to wait until the morning to purchase your groceries. I'm sure you could call and ask them.

Yes, we could have ordered (and have in the past) from Garden Grocer, but we only ordered a few items, and when I comparison priced, the Disney prices weren't that higher.

You must have had only a few select items. Disney grocery is very, very expensive compared to Garden Grocer or WeGo Shop, at least it was when I last checked a couple of weeks ago. On our next trip this Oct. we are once again using Garden Grocer...smjj

I have used both GG and Disney and my biggest problem with Disney is the lack of selection. I felt like I was selecting items from a convenience store -- not a fresh vegetable on the list. With GG, it felt more like I was getting an order from my local supermarket. We were very happy with GG. The only way I would use Disney again is if I'm just ordering a few items.

In your case, I would order from GG and have them deliver it as late as possible. Bell services will hold it and refrigerate/freeze the necessary items. Then when you get there, just call for them to bring it up. I will be in the same situation next Spring when we arrive after midnight, so I will be doing that.

Good luck and have a great trip!
