How are the crowds & weather in Late April?
I was planning our family trip for next Aug., but my guys vetoed the summer heat. DS is in HS & I can't take him out for any extended trip due to the curriculum. He has off a week in late April. It's not Easter (March 2005), so I'm hoping the crowds won't be bad.

We've never been in Springtime before - all you Springtimers, tell me about your experience please.

We have been once in late April. The weather was just perfect! And, there were no huge crowds. Loved it!

With Easter being so early, there may be quite a few Spring Breakers. Many school districts seem to be having either a late Spring Break, or splitting Spring Break into two short ones. A day or two at Easter, then again in mid to late April. So, it may be a bit more crowded this year because of that.

In my experience, late April is a great time to go. We were there this past April 24-28. The weather was great: mid-80's, only a few hours of rain on one day. The crowds were light to moderate. We made a point of getting to the parks at opening and for a while, it seemed like we almost had them to ourselves (especially at MGM). Even at MK when it got moderately crowded, it was never mobbed. We used Fastpass as much as possible and never had a problem. our longest wait was about 10 minutes for Dumbo.

Don't hesitate to go at that time of year!

Mid to late April is our favorite time to go. The crowds are moderate & the weather is usually low 80's with little rain, comfortably warm in the evening. Next year "peak season" ends April 16th, so if you go after that there should also be some kind of room discounts available. Epcot is especially nice then, with the Flower & Garden Festival happening.
