We just decided we might go for 4-5 nights and are trying to pick the best time to go. What do you think: mid/late April or early May? Thanks for any advice! :)

We went last year in the first week of May and it was PERFECT! The weather, the crowds, everything was awesome! Have a great trip whatever you decide!:goodvibes

We were there last april 18-27. The parks were busy, (i had only ever gone in january or february) longest waits for popular rides were 1 hour-90 minutes. We followed the touring plans and didn't have any problems, weather was beautiful. I hear the parks are a little slower in May, but that always depends on holidays check out crowd calenders on a certain website: ************

Given that Easter and Spring Break are earlier this year, I would (and have) opted for going in late April. The only schools out at that time are some Florida colleges and universities, which have their finals the third week of April. The later in May you go, the more schools are out, and of course, don't go around Memorial Day.

Actually, a very large chunk of primary and secondary schools in the Northeast are on spring break the week of April 21-25, which is Passover week. We live in a suburb of NYC and ALL the schools will be closed. We know several families, including our own, who will be in WDW that week. If I had a choice, I'd pick very early May, before southern schools and colleges close for summer.

That is exactly what my DH and I did. We are flying in on 4/30 and departing on 5/9. We'll be celebrating his 60th birthday. He's such a big kid at heart. We really can't wait to go, I think is about 83 days out. We're staying at the POR. Have a wonderful trip.:flower3:

We just made ADRs for our trip (4/27-5/4) and got everything we wanted at the time we wanted except for Le Cellier. Looks like things are going to be slow that week.

Me too, I couldn't get an ADR for LeCellier for dinner, so we switched for lunch. :cool1:

We did the same thing, actually. Though we (and our agent) were severely surprised when we got California Grill for Wishes on a Saturday night. Craaazy.

I'm in the same debate right now. We really want to go April 18th or 19th to the 28th being that DH B-day is April 18th and Mine is April 24th, but we are having a hard time finding a room. (now know that my Best Friend is a CM so she is booking it for us and only so many discount rooms open that they can book) but it is to be crowded. My other option of dates is April 26th - May 3rd. This trip would also not be over our b-day and shorter but that might not be bad if we aren't dealing with the crowds, I'm torn. Can I celebrate our b-days a week late? I have to decide today. Airfare is also cheaper the April 26-May 3rd.
