Late Airfare Question

How long would you wait to book airfare if you are planning your trip for late May or early June?:chat:
 
You can start exploring the "pricing trend" right now, via the web...

I would query every major 3rd party consolidator: Expedia, Travelocity, SideStep, Orbitz, CheapTickets, etc., and keep a written record of what prices you are getting from each web site...

I would also query all airlines' web sites, that fly out of my airport, to get a sense of what they are doing as far as pricing...

THEN, if you were feelilng particularly jaunty, I would go to a travel agent and ask them to do a "fare shop" search. That way, they would be able to tell you what airlines are pricing, as far as special fares, and if they are available...

Since you have the time I would encourage you to do your research, because, as we know, an informed consumer usually gets the best prices...
