Okay, I have changed my adrs 3 times now for Thanksgiving week and the only one I am really worried about is 1900 Park Faire. I made it for 8:20pm. I am worried that by this time the buffet may be blah. This is our last night there and it is going to be a surprise for my dd6. Has anyone been to this meal late like this? I don't really want to eat everyone's leftovers. I guess I could call and try to get earlier if that would even be possible at this point.

I would like to know this also. I just took the 8:20 time for dinner during our December trip.

We tend to like to eat the latest breakfast available...we're not morning eaters normally, but love breakfast food for dinner, so we go late, get more time with the unrushed characters and have always found that the food is replenished appropriately. I've never seen them run out of food just because it's close to time to change meal choices.

We've not done such a late dinner, but I've also read plenty of trip reports saying that the buffets are kept full and nice looking up the end at all the buffet restaurants so that shouldn't be a concern. Honestly, my biggest concern would be a tired child not getting to eat until 8:20 (ok, maybe it would be more my worry about this tired mommy not eating until 8:20). My kids and I tend to get a bit cranky when we don't eat within a couple hours of our normal mealtime....and if we're already tired from a long park day it's only magnified.

However, if you believe your daughter can handle the time....don't worry about the food. Our experience with character meals is that kids rarely eat anyway, they're too excited about who's coming to their table next. But the buffets should be in good shape for those who do want to actually eat, lol.

We had dinner at 1900 Park Fare at about 8:30 last month. The food was fresh and constantly being replinished. The characters were still all out and about and the place was still packed. I have done late ADR's at several buffets for breakfast and lunch and its never been a problem. I was amazed at Cape May's breakfast last month. We had a late seating and as we left (pretty much one of the last families) the guy was putting a big vat of bacon on the buffet. No way could the less than ten families left eat that unless they all took about two pounds each!

My kids have always done fine eating late at WDW. I just make sure they have had a snack and a nap. We like to stay at the parks all day, then take a swim, a nap then have a late dinner someplace. Its always worked fine for us.

Don't worry about it, they keep those buffets well stocked, cleaned up and going strong.

I feel so much better about this now! Thanks! My dd6 will do fine this late. I know my dd10 will be fine too. We don't eat dinner at home most nights until 7-7:30pm and sometimes later. I work full time, so there is no way I could feed them sooner. We plan on taking an afternoon break on this day and spending a couple of hours at Epcot in the countries before our dinner. This is a surprise for my dd6. She told me the other day that she just had to see Cinderella and Prince Charming, so she will be so happy! My main concern was really the quality of the food and it sounds like it will be just fine. Thanks again!:)
