Lastminutetravel tickets quick question :)

So you got your vouchers already? We are arriving May 13th and don't have ours yet....:confused3

Yes, I got them over the weekend, but it was only because I e-mailed them and specifically said I would like the vouchers now rather than waiting until closer to the date. After that e-mail, it still took a few weeks to get them. Probably would have been faster if I had called, but it didn't matter that much to me since we had time. Next time, I will just not put a date in.

I ordered our tickets on the 21st, having read this thread, so I know to request the vouchers early, or they won't send them for awhile.

Today, I called up, because there's still no charge on my account, even for a pending transaction! I don't want us to have problems when we get to DL.

The girl says they put it through on the 21st, and not to worry about it. (which of course, makes me a tad worried  ) I then mentioned that we may go earlier ( per instructions on this thread :rolleyes1 ) , and she said to e-mail them a week before we plan to go, at customer_support@lastminutetravel.com.
Apparently, this is so that they have documentation, because it is very difficult for them to cancel after they send vouchers.

I'm feeling a tad iffy about this, honestly. I didn't want to argue with her, but it does say that they may be canceled as long as the tickets haven't been picked up, so I think it's a bit crazy to make us DL planners wait for the vouchers. And as for the billing....hmmm..

I felt iffy, too, but it all really worked out fine for us. If it doesn't show up on your credit card by tomorrow then I'd call again. I'd give them some grace for it being over a weekend, but by tomorrow it should show up (unless your bank is slow to post).

Also, when you email them at that address ask them to have the "attractions" department forward your vouchers ASAP; it worked for me.

To redeem the voucher we went to the same window where one would go to purchase tickets. They issued the tickets which you then take to the turnstiles to be admitted to the park.

I don't know what time the ticket windows close. We arrived Sunday late afternoon, walked right up to a ticket window (no waiting) and got our tickets around 4 pm and then went into the park. I'd imagine they close 30-60 minutes before the park closes, but I don't know for sure.

Thanks for the info :goodvibes

All I know is that is what the Disneyland gate supervisor told me. I didn't ask any more questions because I didn't really care and was just happy to be there. :)

So you bought 3 day hoppers, but they ended up being the promo 5 day hoppers that weren't valid until May 1st? Isn't that why you had a bit of a problem with them at first?
I'm just trying to figure out what kind of Hoppers you bought that ended up being 5 day hoppers. :)

When I went to the LMT site I ordered 5 day park hoppers (there was no mention of the 5 for 3 deal on the site at that time - early April). When we got to DL we were issued three tickets. When we got to the turnstiles we noticed they had effective dates starting May 1 and were coming up as invalid when scanned. The supervisor came over and said something about how there was a mixup and they (LMT) weren't supposed to be selling the promotional tickets yet but since they were then DL would honor them. I didn't ask any other questions. We had to have a supervisor override the tickets every day, which only took an extra minute. Later in the week a supervisor commented "we've been having problems with these tickets all week". Again, I didn't ask any questions. They never said it was the 5 for 3 promotion, I just assumed that.

Thanks SaraK. I thought they told you they were 3 for 5. It's all clear to me now. So I will get 4 day Hoppers then.
It's funny, my neighbor who goes to DLR every year at Christmas does not believe that this deal is true! I even told her to go on this board and read this thread, but she still thinks there is a catch. Oh well....
Is it true that if you have to cancel your purchase can if you haven't received your vouchers? If you can then I'm going to purchase now for our trip on June 21st. With AAA you can't cancel so I always waited until the last second to buy in case something came up and we couldn't go. Thanks again for your help.

If it weren't for such a large amount we're saving (about $50), I wouldn't order from this company. Why must they make it so difficult?!

Im looking at these prices and on the DLR site we'd be paying $806 for our 5 day park hoppers for 3 adults and 1 child, but on LMT its only $610. Are there additional fees with LMT or am I seriously going to save almost $200 on our tickets!!??!!

Some people have reported getting hit with a international bank fee, although LMT does reverse it if you send them a copy of your cc bill. I personally never had to pay anything other than the actual price listed on their site. I charged them over a month ago and no extra fees have showed up yet, so I'm assuming I'm in the clear. :goodvibes

Wow, that is really awesome. We were going to get 6 day park hoppers but if we can save $200 with 5 day PH's then we will use one of our days in Anaheim to explore some other fun things.

Ok, got home and found the tickets. They say "5-Days for 3-Days Park Hopper", valid from 5/1/2010 - 10/13/2010. I KNOW I did not choose this when I bought the tickets on LMT.com, and our travel dates were entered accurately as 4/18-4/22. Sooooo....no idea what happened. Maybe the gal at the ticket window did it wrong and it wasn't really the fault of LMT? :confused3

LOL, I also kept checking my account to see if there were any international fees added, but given that its now been almost 3 months, I think I am safe. I wonder what percentage of people get hit with those. I paid with an Amex, I wonder if that made the difference.

I paid with an Amex too. Although my guess is it has more to do with the particular bank than if it's Visa, MC, Amex, etc since it's the bank itself that's charging the fee, not LMT. They are just kind enough to eat the cost so you don't have to, it seems. :goodvibes

We'll pay with our Canadian VISA and hopefully avoid any additional fees but its good to know that others have had their fees refunded.

My fee was from LMT ~ I was charged an extra $3 when I purchased 5 day PHs for DD & I ~ it wasn't a seperate fee - I faxed them a copy of a print out from my checking account *I used my debit card* and the $$ was back in my account after a couple days.

:confused3

So if I have this right, the tickets expire within 60 days of ordering them? Is this correct? So if I want them for our up coming trip in 2011. I shouldn't buy them until at least Feb 2011. Sounds very complicated but if it saves money, I'm all in.

Anyone ever ordered the character dining vouchers through LMT? It asks for a specific date - do you have to use it on that day? What if you decide to change a reservation to a couple of days later?

No. Once you redeem the voucher at the gate you have 60 days to use the tickets. Even if you don't use the tickets by going through the gate they expire in 60 days once the voucher is exchanged for tickets. Not to be confused with the 13 days after the first use rule. Interestingly enough apparently the voucher never expires according to them. Unfortunately everything they say needs to be taken with a grain of salt. Plan accordingly:goodvibes
