I know, the dreaded weather question. IT looks like we may have to take our trip the last week of Sept instead of November. I can get free dining which is great but how about the temperature? I really can;t handle 90 degrees and humidity. Are crowds lower and are temps tamer?

Hi,

Crowds are very light in September, but you will have temperatures at or around 90 every day.

Crowds are light in September. I remember MGM looked like a ghost town. As for the weather, it is very sticky and hot. So it's a good thing it won't be too crowded, because you'll be going slow.

Crowds are usually light in September but the marketing geniuses decided to mess with me & add the free dining so.... with all the people changing their plans to get free food, it remains to be seen what this year will bring. The last time they did it I think it did add to the crowd levels.

The heat & humidity can be oppressive. No way around it.

I agree with Minnie Girl, I also had read lighter crowds the week before Columbus Day, but the marketing people realized a coup when they had it, and offered free dining to end last day of Sept - so if you book the last day of Sept you still get free dining for ten days I believe... with schools beginning at the end of August to Beg. of Sept, most people will put off their trips to the end of Sept...

plus the more I read, and when I tried to book, several of the resorts were booked for the "Free dining" (not necessarily booked up like Columbus Day week was mind you!!)

So I am planning on crowds, heat, humidity and hurricanes!! That way I wont be disappointed, but prepared!! :wizard:

That is so funny and true! I am going to do the same...I've been fretting about hurricanes since I booked the trip (last week in August) since then I've also added the heat, humidity, and now gas prices to the list! :sad2:

But really...I can't wait to go and if it weren't for the free dining we wouldn't be sooooo, I'm packing ponchos, umbrellas, mist fans, a hat for my humidity frizzed head of hair and hoping for a miracle with gas prices! :smooth:
