I have been to DW many times but the reports of Oct crowd craziness going around, I am a little nervous about which week to book and I have not been lately in October or November.

If the ONLY thing you cared about was crowds (and I mean that literally - I do not care about the parties, the decorations, the themes, nor the weather - I have seen them all more than once).... which week would you pick? Last week in October or the week before Thanksgiving?

Crowd wise they both seem to be predicted to be similar. Id probably go with October just because I like that time of year better.

I've bee both weeks, and I preferred the last week of October. The week before Thanksgiving was packed last year.

Do you mean the full week before Thanksgiving? Not the week off Thanksgiving? I'm assuming that's what you mean - but if not - definitely the October week!

I can tell you that we went Jersey week last year (but not from jersey!) and it ended up being slower than both of those weeks, but I had friends and coworkers there on the two weeks you are looking at and they said that the crowd level didn't impact their ability to do anything.

I think the weather both weeks is similar. We had a very warm November trip - in the 90s, but the humidity was so managable that we hardly noticed. (We have traveled sept/early october many times before). I would go back in Jersey week again in the future.

Might want to look into when RunDisney wine and dine race will be in November. Very managable to work around if you have the right plans!! I think it's earlier than you are looking but worth confirmation.

Also - if Food and Wine is of interest - check those end dates.

I've been there both weeks a number of times & really didn't notice a big difference in the week with crowds. This past Fall, attendance was up across the board so I don't know that the specific week makes much of a difference anymore. The end date of F&W would concern me more as that is something that I always enjoy even if I have done it over & over again in years past. This Fall, I found the weather much more humid & hot in late October but that could also be a one off. Enjoy your trip!

Oh Heavens.... yes. The full week PRIOR to Thanksgiving crazy :-).

Ok so I checked and the Wine and Dine Half is early November and F&W ends on Nov 14th. I had planned on arriving on Nov 14th....

Still torn about last week in Oct or the week prior to the Thanksgiving crowds arrive. I will only be going M-F so weekend crowds are not an issue.

Anyone else have any advice? Thanks!
