We are planning to go to USF and IOA the last week of august. Haven't been to Universal in over 20 years. Is it possible to do both parks in 2 days that week? Wondering about crowds and heat. We are going to buy park to park tickets. Thx!

I think so,unless they've done some major work in the original park. I went in late august 3 years ago and US was SO sad. Springfield was done and it was awesome. The rest was an empty shell. No people, rides breaking down or just plain not running, nothing like it used to be. So sad. We spent maybe 40 minutes there before the nostalgia for what it used to be was too much. We hopped to IOA, which was awesome, but the half day or so we had there was plenty of time.

You won't be able to do everything but you can do the highlights. Park to park tickets will allow you to ride the Hogwarts Express...if you are interested but WWoHP and Diagon Alley will be very crowded. Crowds in general tend to lighten after schools are back in session but you're still going to have to deal with moderate crowds.

The heat is on full blast in August so be prepared by wearing lightweight and light colored clothing and drink plenty of water.

In 2 days, mayb, but more likely , You will be able to do highlights, but not anywhere near it all . with Diagon Alley ( the harry potter expansion ), opening THIS SUMMER, everything will be alot more crowded ( and take time ), especially the studios. You will need Park to park tickets to ride the Hogwarts express
