Last week of August or after Labor Day?

I'd like to go to Disneyland for a couple of days either the last week of August or after Labor Day. Disneyland closes one hour earlier after Labor Day but I'm wondering if the parks will be less crowded and that will make up for losing that hour. Disney Tourist Blog "strongly suggests early September" over August. Please share your thoughts with me on whether one week would be better than the other.
