I'm so nervous about today.

one of our students was just diagnosed with diabetes and today is his first day back. He is only 8 years old!!

I am going to be "in charge" of his health during at least 3 days of school each week! I have to help him get his noon dosage, check his levels, etc.

I am very anxious.. this is some serious stuff!

One of my best friends' daughter also has diabetes, so she told me I could ask for any advice if I need it. And that helps since she works at the school also.

At least my nurse is coming in extra for this morning to train me and stuff.
She's at our school on Tues & Wed.

...wow, that's a lot of responsibility....

I wonder how the school nurse thing works

since as a nurse we can only give out medication after being licensed/certified-and since Liz isn't a nurse how does that work-just wondering-all the liabilty issues come to mind
