The kids at school always ask where my coat is - In the Car of course!!!
I wear it to the car in the morning and after the car is warmed up, I take it off.... its a 50 minute ride to work - the car gets way hot!!! but its there, just in case.
I refuse to wear a coat when I'm driving!
I just don't feel like I can move well enough. And I always end up leaving mine in the van/truck too. And then when I leave work it's cold and I should really be wearing it. That evening when we gotten the sudden ice before Christmas all I had worn was a fleece jacket and I had left that in the van. So all I had on was a thin, short-sleeved blouse. I was killing time shopping in the store since I couldn't go home and a friend/neighbor was in there. He asked where my coat was. I told him I had a jacket in the van. He said, "A jacket, you don't need a jacket young lady, you need a @#$! coat!"
Then he took his big snow jacket off and handed it to me. What a gentleman! I argued and told him I would be fine because that's what my body is used to and he finally took his jacket back. Then a little while later the husband of another employee came in to pick her up. He also asked where my coat was. I told him it was in the van and he put his hand out. I asked him what he wanted and he told me to give him my keys so he could go get my jacket for me! Two gentlemen in one night!!
