That reminds me of the time DH and I drove to Key West and there was a local person wearing a winter coat (it was 77 outside that day) DH and I were in Shorts and she asked us if we were freezing - no, we said, we just left 22 inches of snow and 3 degree weather, this was awesome - She just shook her head and walked away

We get people that come up here (from FL ) who wear their big winter coats and we have short sleeves on! I almost never wear a coat to work and people will see me in short sleeves and tell me that I must be freezing. Uh,no, it's a heat wave today. It's up to 40!

I have to remember to be careful on FB since DH is on their too and so are the girls I am going with

I've been doing that usual Saturday stuff all day! And will be doing the same tomorrow too!

I've got Andrew cleaning out his closet right now. So I know I'll end up with more laundry tomorrow too!

This is the garland on the front fence. The bulbs are about 6 inches long. I love the way the snow falls on them.

That is soooo pretty.

I wish we'd get a good snowfall here.

I need to figure out what I am bringing to FL. I should go down and grab my suitcase.... maybe when DH goes out....

Sounds like the way we pack so that the furry human doesn't see our suitcases!

I want to join the new Gym near the house, but will I really use it??? It has a pool, which is what I said I always wanted if I joined a Gym. I enjoy doing laps.....

I would never consider joining a gym if it didn't have a pool. That's what I would use the most. But there's only one gym in town that does have a pool but that's the problem - it's in town. Where I work is just on the edge of town - my edge of town. And it would mean that I would actually have to go into town after to work to go to the gym and I just don't think I'd stick with it. If it was on my way home, I might.

You guys get the ice and black ice just as much as we do, don't you? You just don't have the mountainous roads to contend with.

right, we just slide sideways into each other.... not off mountains!!!

just kidding - but only a little.

I think you get more ice because you don't have the long deep freeze that we have... I could be wrong, but I think it stays either snow or wet here more so than by you. I of course only drove through NC from TN once several years ago, so I am not an expert on NC weather.

The kids at school always ask where my coat is - In the Car of course!!!

I wear it to the car in the morning and after the car is warmed up, I take it off.... its a 50 minute ride to work - the car gets way hot!!! but its there, just in case.
