Last To Post Game - 2nd Edition, Take 4 (ACTION)

The boys and I are just getting back from my friend's house. She called about 2 hours ago, hysterical!! She came home from work and had gone into the house and was in the bathroom and heard this awful sound. She looked outside and her car - her brand new car I might add - was gone. She hadn't put the brake on and it must have slipped out of gear. It went down the drive, back end first, then turned, smashed through the fence with the rear end, somehow turned around and headed forward into the cow pasture. It is now stuck half in a ditch with the left back tire about 3 feet off the ground. They just got this a week ago Saturday and it is very possibly totalled.

The boys and I just came home to get something to eat and then we're heading back. Her son (23) is coming from the other side of the county to see if he can at least get it out of the pasture.

I feel so bad for her!

Her son couldn't pull it out with the pick-up, but luckily they also have a tractor, and that worked. It's not quite as bad as it originally looked. The back is pretty much totalled but the front's not bad at all.

My boys felt useful holding lights and helping in small ways so that was good for them.

I feel so sorry for her, though! But I kept reminding her of the good points - she wasn't in the car, it went between trees and if it had hit the trees it wouldn't have been totalled for sure and then the number one good point was that she didn't see it start to roll - if she had she would've tried to stop it and probably would have been seriously hurt!

Glad you're not getting too much of it! I really feel sorry for the east coast!

We are getting the rain now. Last night and today should be nice and soggy here. And we are now getting some of the winds from the outer bands.

It was on the news last night, there is so much standing water that people are having gators floating by their houses.

I am LAST!!! From the Rainy land of central FL!!!

Try and stay dry and have a good trip.

Oh my goodness. I agree with your other post, things could have been worse. I know that is not what she wants to hear because she is upset but it will sink in later. It was just a car, a material item and she is lucky that she was not hear or anyone else.

Very Soggy, and once you are wet, its cold. But here the rain has been steady, but not to much flooding. The areas around here are getting a ton more rain and not such great drainage.

Oh my goodness. I agree with your other post, things could have been worse. I know that is not what she wants to hear because she is upset but it will sink in later. It was just a car, a material item and she is lucky that she was not hear or anyone else.

Last night is nothing in comparison to today...She called while I was taking Matthew to his mowing job about and hour ago and she talked to Andrew. She is at the ER...her dad has had a heart attack! Please keep her family in your thoughts and prayers.
