ITS BEEN A LONG TIME SINCE i TOOK UP A WHOLE PAGE BY MYSELF!!!!

Wow! Looks like it was lonely around here today!

Matthew goes to the orthodontist tomorrow to get his impressions done and then two weeks from tomorrow he gets his braces. Only one of our kids to have braces. (DD really needed them but there was no way we could afford them. Then when we could afford them she chose not to get them. Go figure!)

Then after the orthodontist we're meeting DH and heading "off the mountain" to go look at some boats.

Just made out the check for the down payment for Matthew's braces! OUCH!

Sure was a quiet night around here!

At least I've had a nice long turn at being last!

DH came home from the gym last week and said there was a black bear in the parking lot!

-I almost didn't believe him, but now the news is reporting a bear was killed when hit by a car about 3 miles from the gym-and not too far from our house!

too bad that animal control couldn't of sedated and moved the bear before this happened!!! They did that in Milwaukee when we lived there-a bear came into the city and was taken back to the Northwoods-Too sad for this poor bear

Get this....

Poor thing! Probably just wasn't paying attention and wandered too far from home!

We had one go through our front yard a few years back. Quite a site. But, of course, we live out in the country so it's not as unusual as where you are!

We had to save up the down payment so once we finally got to that point last week I called for an appointment, kind of expecting the end of the summer. Matthew really wanted to get them before school started. I was shocked when I got the appointment so soon!!

When we went to the boat show in TN last Saturday I wanted to go to Red Lobster so bad. We have gift cards for there so we were going to head there after lunch. Uh, guess who forgot the gift cards. DH said we could still go but I just couldn't justify spending that much money (two of the boys were with us) when we have gift cards sitting at home.

So, maybe I'll talk him into Red Lobster today!

Yesterday afternoon was not a good day. Our German Shepard passed away. He just went to sleep and didn't wake up.

He was 11 years old and his hip was starting to give him some trouble. So now he is at peace.

Ashli is so upset.

We keep telling Ash that he is now at the Rainbow Bridge with our Greyhound. She was waiting for him to play.

But it still hurts. Those animals just seem to steal our hearts.

I found that when we found out our Greyhound had Cancer and she needed to be put to sleep.
