We take the Scrabble board game very seriously in my household. DH and I used to play a lot of games (pre DS) and were very competitive about it....scrabble and especially card games.

We're finding that DS is getting into the card games; so we're slowly getting back into the swing of things....fights!

We used to play canasta. I think it suffered a little because it was so close to ginrummy. But unlike gin rummy, we needed a special pack of cards to play canasta. So, we always ended up playing gin rummy instead.
