Last time you stayed up all night

2 weeks ago, several nights durning our 2 week vacation to new orleans, party till the sun comes up baby.:thumbsup2

What do you consider all night 4am, 5am, 6am, till the sunrises?

Thanksgiving/Black Friday 2 years ago. Got up at 430am Thanksgiving morning to go get some turkey day savings at Meijer. DH and I hit the Black Friday sales Thanksgiving night into Black Friday morning. Got home at 715am on Black Friday. Went to bed at 8am. Almost 27 hours awake. I was still moving pretty darn good too! Thrill of the savings!

I remember the FIRST time. I was in 3rd grade and it was our first slumber party. There was four of us girls and we had no idea what you do at a slumber party. The girl that was hosting had a collage age sister that informed us we had to stay up all night....we had no idea;)...BUT.....we figured she knew so we all somehow stayed awake all night and were still awake when her parents got up the next morning! Nice memories. More recent times involved a child with a fever I could not get to stay down, a child that was so sick all day and slept all day then was ALL BETTER at bedtime, the passing of my dad, and at least one GOOD time was a black Friday all nighter.

Mrs. Tex and I always shared sick child duties, so neither of us had to be up all night taking care of Tex Jr. when he was feeling poorly. Not that we got any sleep while the other one was taking care of the small boy, but I can't call that staying up all night.

I have to go back to grad school, when I pulled two all-nighters revising my thesis so it could be resubmitted the following morning. One was after my thesis adviser told me I needed to rearrange the sequence of sub-topics, and asked how long it would take me to make the changes. When I told him I'd have it to him the next morning, he said that if I did I'd have it back by close of business on the same day. He was shocked when I handed him the revised and reprinted thesis the next morning at 8:00 as he was coming to work. The second time was two days later, when the graduate school wanted formatting changes. Poor Mrs. Tex! She was a real trooper both nights. Gotta love that woman. She's a real keeper.

Been retired now for 5 yrs, worked 4pm to 4am almost 7 days a week before retirement. Before that I worked midnight shift for years getting off of work at 7 am with an hour drive home. I've always been a night person working most of my 30+ yrs on afternoons and midnights. I'm still a niteowl and don't go to bed before 4am sometimes later.

On nights I can't sleep. When I get off worked at 1:30 a.m. and can't sleep and have before back at work 11:00 a.m. Back in my younger days I use stay up all night and go school the next day.

Last time I did it was Sunday night...and I had to be at work early Monday morning. I have always been a night owl. If not for kids and my job, I would probably stay up all night and sleep all day more often. I admit I can not handle doing that the way I could 10 years ago though!

Why last Friday night/Saturday morning 24 hour Magic Kingdom adventure, of course!
Me too! I failed at the 'One More Disney Day' event, giving up at 4am, but, this time I saw it to the end. I was told Cosmic Rays would be serving breakfast, but, when I went in this time at 4am they were only serving the usual stuff, unless I missed something. The weirdest bit was I went back to my room and couldn't sleep, so was back in AK for 11am.

When we flew from San Francisco to Singapore in Feb 2012. We left at roughly midnight, and landed 20 (!!) hours later in Singapore at roughly noon (I think...it's all very muddled in my brain). Tried, unsuccessfully, to sleep on a plane. Was seated next to an infant who cried (piercing cry) through most of the flight. Stayed up until 8 pm local time. My kids fell asleep while eating dinner. LOL! Face down on the table.

For me, probably 20 years ago dancing at a club

For DH, 6 nights a week for the last 15 years on the night shift:(

I routinely have insomnia so I am up all night more than I would like to be.

Same here lol! I had an especially hard time sleeping at night during my college years! So, of course, I love when the late nights at Magic Kingdom are offered. Always a night owl :)

Last Friday night.

Facebook drama. So stupid and silly.

A certain ex husband's wife needs to stop stalking me. :stir: Total family drama because I told her off on FB - well, I just told her to stop stalking me...long back story.

Could not sleep. It freakin ruined me for 2 days trying to get my sleep back. :furious:

***** please. Would you ever go to you ex's wife's FB page and post anything? She did to mine, about my sons. See this icon? It's vodka instead of coffee in her cup...:surfweb: I could have knocked her out. :) I told my ex - tell her not to drink and post. He said he woke up and saw the "fire ball" bottle was all gone. Could be a reality show I swear.

There were plenty of nights in my 20's; I waitressed in a pub. After last call at 4 am, my friend and I would clean up, then hang out for a while. We would go to the diner for breakfast, then get to 7 am mass. Then home to sleep.

I would guess that the last time I stayed up overnight was the night in 2000 when I was in labor with my older daughter. We got to the hospital at around 11 pm, and she was born at 8:30 am.

May 16th - the night before my daughters wedding. we had a very large tent erected in our yard for the event. They finished at 2 am as a line of bad storms approached. At 3 am we looked out the window and this huge tent had blown across our yard taking out the fence around the pool. The rest of the hours were spent calling the rental guys and stressing on how we would handle the situation!

The same.

I stayed up all night Sat night. Was up, I think, 22 hours. That's about my limit.

Then I slept for 3 & was up again.
