About 3 weeks ago. My uncle was tragically killed in a car crash and my brother and I stayed with my Mom that night. We stayed up all night talking and reminiscing. That is normal for my Mom and me though. I go to visit her every other week. And we stay up all night talking. We are both night owls.
I stay up all night several times a week. No matter how much I try I can't seem to fall asleep at night. I have even tried staying up all day and night and the next day and still can't sleep at night.
I stay up all night all of the time. I work 7pm to 7:30am three nights a week, but even on my off nights, I end up being awake until at least 4 or 5am.
I nap in two or three hour spurts a couple of times during the day. Yes, I'm chronically sleep deprived. One of our newer night shift nurses asked me how long it takes to get used to working these hours, and I told her, "I have no idea. I've been doing it for 15 years, and I'm STILL not used to it!"
Last Wednesday night. I work for a veterinarian and a dog had an emergency c-sect two days before. The mom died, the owner refused to take the puppies home. Three of us at work are splitting the duties of taking care of these three pups.
I am too old for this...the next day I could hardly keep my eyes open at work!
But, it is all worth it. The puppies are strong and healthy.
Oct. 30-Oct. 31, 2008. I had to stay awake to check on DD's sick horse all throught the night every hour or so. She had to work the next day so I let her go to bed. Horse ended up fine (vet didn't think that would be the case) and I never went to bed until the night of the 31st. I was up 40 hours straight - have never done that before, don't care to do it again!
I used to work 3rd shift part-time when I was a teenager. I really don't like staying up that late. Anything worth doing can be done at much more reasonable hours.
I've been close the past few days. Staying up until about 3 am.
The last time I stayed up allll night was a few years ago. My best friend who lives in a different state and I decided that we would stay up all night IMing. And we did. And we went to school the next morning.
I haven't stayed up all night since college. Not even when my kids were babies. I'd usually fall asleep out of sheer exhaustion. Looking back, I have no idea how I stayed up all night in college. I think that's a sign that I am getting old!
probably October 31st 2006, when i had my daughter, had her at 11.15pm that night, and didn't sleep till 4pm the next day, she slept all night but i was too excited.......and enjoying the feeling of not being in pain anymore
July 3, 2008 MK closed at 4am and DH, DS5 and DS7 and I closed the park down and then made are way back over to Fort Wilderness. It was a blast, I was so surprised that the boys were able to make it all night, but they were still going strong at 4am and no fights. Of course DS5 was out like a light as soon as his butt hit the seat on the boat.
October 24th 1999.
My back started to ache around 11:00pm on the 23rd. Then around midnight, I noticed it was hurting every 10 minutes, by 3-4 am it was hurting every 5 minutes or so...
I went to the hospital at 6am, and had my daughter around 3 that afternoon.
