for me it was last month as well, DD has multiple disabilities, including an immune deficiency and seizure disorder, so we have at least 4 hospitalizations per year. She went in for an outpatient procedure, and came home a week later due to severe complications.

My last hospital stay was about a year ago. Prior to that it was at least every few days. Chemotherapy would make my blood counts and my electrolytes (mag and potassium) go down so low I would be twitching so bad (for the mag loss) that it looked like I was having seizures.

Never did. On the fifth day, they told me that if my temp didn't come down, they were going to put in a pic (sp.?) line. I did not want that, so the nurses all pack cold towels around me. It did the trick.

I had a ct scan and other tests, but they never found anything. Since, I've heard other women say they've had an unexplained fever after giving birth, too.

Never did. On the fifth day, they told me that if my temp didn't come down, they were going to put in a pic (sp.?) line. I did not want that, so the nurses all pack cold towels around me. It did the trick.

PICC line for what? To administer meds or something?
Thankfully you didn't have to get one - I've heard those are a royal pain!

I'm sorry to hear that.

For me, it was about 5 years ago, I was having unexplained severe headaches. They couldnt' figure out what was causing them, so they kept me for a few days to run a bunch of tests.
