Hello!

I have gained alot of information on here, which I am so thankful for! Everyone is so helpful!
I have passed ROFR and I am currently waiting to close. I returned all my docs and the funds requested. What will the next step be? I remember reading about people checking the deed registry? I am not sure if I can check/follow up from where I am at. I also remember reading that people called and asked about their points. I do not want to be a bother so if I could check something on my own I will.
Thanks in adavnce for any replies! :goodvibes

If everyone does their job correctly, your broker and closing company provides Disney with the required information, Disney sets up your DVC account, loads your points, and mails you the required info for you to log in. They will also mail you your new membership cards.

You may be able to call and get some of the info or you can just relax and wait for things to happen.

Your broker should tell you when you close. At closing, the deed is sent to the county to be recorded and to Disney for the transfer. With transit and processing time, expect 10-14 days for Disney to create your member account after closing. At this point, you can call Member Accounting (phone menu option 3) and try to get your Member ID and website setup information.

Hi weswife! I know we're in a similar boat with TSS and Magic Vacation Title so I thought you might like to hear my timeline. Brenda (I think you're working with her too) confirmed getting my docs and funds on thurs 9/11. On Monday 9/15 I got a notice from the TSS that a copy of my recorded deed had been sent to DVC to complete the transfer. I'm taking this to mean the contract closed Monday. That email also said it would take 12-14 business days for Disney to send our membership number. I then saw our contract on the OCC website yesterday. I used the link in the stickies here and searched for my name and was super excited to see the docs pop up. I hope you get the same news soon. Based on what I've read here, I'll prob try calling at the end of next week or the beginning of the following to see if we can get our # over the phone.

Thanks!! Yes, we are about the same! I am looking forward to the end. I will take a look and see if I can find the OCC website. I am feeling anxious. I am not using my points until next year for travel but I would like to be the owner! pixiedust:

I am working with The Timeshare Store also, along with Nancy at Magic Vacation Title. I received word that my closing docs and funds were received on 9/15 but no word still yet that the seller's docs have been received. I guess they aren't in as much of a hurry as I am. The close by date on my initial contract is tomorrow. Does that matter?

OP, A lot depends on when the sellers return their documents. They need to be notarized.
I have 2 contracts and waiting to close on a 3rd right now.

The sellers for one of my contracts took over 2 weeks to return their documents. I thought they were going to back out but it all worked out.

Hopefully your sellers will want their money and will move quickly but you can get a delay because of the seller.

(I just looked up my contract that was delayed. It took 22 days to close from when I sent my documents back.)

I always think of the buyer when I am selling... Received my closing documents yesterday and today documents are notarized and in the mail with 1 day express shipping. I don't want to hold up there fun : o ) ....... Especially when I got such a GREAT price

I know how to get to the OCC's website and how to search it, but I'd just like some guidance on what I should be looking for. We closed yesterday and I see two documents... one looks like the "official" waiver of ROFR and the other is called a "warranty deed."

Is this everything? If not, what else should I be looking for? If so, now I just wait to receive my welcome packet and member cards from Disney, correct?

TIA!

You will eventually receive a copy of your deed, resale buyers don't really receive a welcome packet unless things have changed, but you will receive your website login info and member cards.
