I'm heading to WDW in about 10 days for the 1st time without DH -but I am taking the kids and we're meeting up with Kelli and my DSIL and her family-so I think if you meet up with a friend or a relative- fun could still be had-Heck!! Who couldn't have fun at the Happiest Place on Earth!!!

I'll have to track down some new family I don't mind going by myself... I think.... there are pleny of people to talk to in line right?? people won't look at me all weird right???

In Line At Wal-Mart:

I have 4 dogs & I was buying a large bag of Purina at Wal-Mart and
was in line to check out.
A woman behind me asked if I had a dog. On impulse, I told her that
no,I was starting The Purina Diet again, although I probably shouldn't
because I'd ended up in the hospital last time, but that I'd lost 50
pounds before I awakened in an intensive care ward with tubes coming out
of most of my orifices and IVs in both arms.
I told her that it was essentially a perfect diet and that the way
that it works is to load your pants pockets with Purina nuggets and
simply eat one or two every time you feel hungry & that the food is
nutritionally complete so I was going to try it again.
I have to mention here that practically everyone in the line was by
now enthralled with my story, particularly a guy who was behind her.
Horrified, she asked if I'd ended up in the hospital in that
condition; because I had been poisoned. I told her no; it was
because I'd been sitting in the street licking my butt and a car hit me.
I thought one guy was going to have a heart attack he was laughing so
hard as he staggered out the door.

Silly lady...why else would I buy dog food??

Thanks-- today its a heat wave 20 (wind chill is only 0) with so far only 2" of snow!!! I think I live in MN now and not IL!!!!

any way, just staying warm and catching up on house stuff since its way to cold to go anywhere!!!

Hope everyone else is warm and toasty today!!!

I'll be up that way the beginning of February.....guess that means I should dress warmly

I am gonna go hit the hay... its only 7:30 here, but Tuesday is my long day... up at 4:15 am and then I don't get back home until late-- 11 ish if traffic is good....

pray for the snow to stop tonight so I don't have to get up any earlier.

(I already set the alarm for 3:30 just in case I have to battle the snow.)

...I didn't even realize that you went......sooo, just how far away DO you live from WDW??

Not close enough that is for sure. I can be door to door in about an hour and a half depending on traffic.

has anyone here gone to WDW by them selves??? just wondering. DH thought I could use a break and suggested that I go down for a weekend --solo. Dont know if that is something I could do....

I would go. I have been a lot lately without my family. Matter of fact the last one I hooked up with ladies I met on the boards and have taken about half a dozen trips with in the last couple of years.

Yep I am taking Ashli for her B-day and it will just be Ash and I. DH is staying home to take care of the animals.
