Nope, no pattern. I just used a toothpick to draw the outline and then started filling it in.

I used M&Ms for the eyes and tongue.
M&Ms are great...I had to go back and look at your cake again. I make a ladybug cake with M&Ms as the spots and eyes.

Well hope everyone has a great day

WOW, that is a great one too. I never thought of stacking a circle cake with a flat cake. That is a good idea for my ladybug and fishbowl cakes....usually I make two cakes since one is not enough, but if I stacked a double cirlce on a flat, that would be two cakes...plus I could spend more time just decorating one cake and less room in the fridge....thank you for the ideas.... I should really get to starting my day before everyone else wakes up...I wonder what we will do today? For the first time in a while we don't have soccer and so we were going to leave up todays activities to DS, but right now it is so windy and it looks like it will rain :guilty:
:wave2: have a nice day everyone.

I just took a state capital matching test and got 40 out of 50 correct.
gotta work on that.

alright, I'm gonna go make some cookies now :wave2: see ya later.
I'm glad you were able to finally come back to us Kliz :teeth:

I couldn't find a picture on the web, but it was I think I saw it in a Better Homes magazine. You bake two cirlcle cakes. Then, get white frosting and add red food coloring to make pink or red. Frost the cake and then add black M&Ms for the spots on the wings and green M&Ms for the eyes. I used black gel for the lines of the wings, head and mouth. Then, I used a star tip to make really simple grass and flowers around the bottom sides of the cake. One year, I had some chocolate shaped garden things like a watering can and rake....so I added that to the bottom. You could probable also use green food coloring on shredded coconut as "grass" around the cake too.

DD is up...got to go. Have fun :sunny:

I love chocolate chip cookies.. especially when they're nice and warm..

last isn't as much fun when you're alone :guilty:

guess I'll go watch my Buckeyes
