Hello did you not see my picture? I have LONG thick hair. I couldn't get a swim cap on this head to SAVE my LIFE.

You need a good tank for those don't you(filter and all) not just a fish bowl on the counter????

Yeah I think so. But you can get a 10 gal starter kit for around $25.00 or so. I think Wal-mart has them and they have pretty much everything you need to get started. Except like maybe the gravel that goes on the bottom.

Not expensive at all.
And very easy to take care of.

They are very easy to take care of. Nothing really to clean and they don't get stinky.

Do you have to empty the tank ever so often or not-that's the part I remember I hated when I was a kid-the smell is sooo yuck!!!!

Not with a filter. It shouldn't happen. And if it does you get one of those sucker fish that clean the tank for you. Or even a snail. We had a snail and we named it Gary.

Plus they take care of themselves while you are gone. You just get one of those feeder tablets and bingo you go on vacation.

And since we live up here in the North-we would need a heater-since I keep the house pretty chilly in winter -the cost of heating is terrible!!!!
