:rotfl: well! I know how it can be with certin teachers, I swear in 1st grade Andie had the worst teacher ever! She was horrible all the parents hated her. She would bully the kids and was just plain mean. We ALL complained about her and nothing was done about her. She still at the school:sad2: I swear I hated that woman more than any teacher I had and I didn't even have to sit in her class everyday like the poor kids did

i get a teacher next year in high school that my brother had and he hated him...
and guess what subject it is for...
Algebra 2 honors...
so i get to be in the advanced advanced class, but i don't get the good teacher...

I am going to try to get some packing done this afternoon after I bring G to school.

Hopefully I can get most of the clothes packed (only packing 2 shorts/3 shirts per person).

I can't pack swimsuits b/c we're probably going to use them this weekend and the kids will be looking for them.

:goodvibes you must be so excited Liz! but it would be driving me crazy not to be packed yet:rotfl:

In a way I hope you do run into the Principal and you tell them they had no business telling your son that information before telling you. And they are the ones that dropped the ball where Matthew is concerned.

Well, you got your wish! :lmao:

Yep, we ran into her. And his regular classroom teacher. We let his classroom teacher know that we appreciated all that she did for him. She really went above and beyond the call of duty trying to work with him to take up the slack when there wasn't an EC teacher the first half of the year. She's always been great with him and she's always believed in him!

As far as the principal ~ we reminder her of a conversation that we had right before they had an EC teacher in place. We had told her that she and the school had violated his rights by not following his IEP. We also had called the county director of EC services and had told him that as well. We had told both of them that if he didn't pass the writing test they were to blame for not providing the proper services. We let them know that we felt we had a legitimate lawsuit. They never disagreed. But there was an EC teacher in place in about a week! So today, after we reminded the principal of these past converstations, we told her that we may need to revisit the idea of a lawsuit. She had a look of shock on her face. And we left her with that thought for the summer! :lmao: She was probably on the phone with the county director of services before we were out the door! :rotfl:

(BTW ~ I doubt we would pursue a lawsuit at this point. It's just not worth it in a small county. But it's always nice to hold that threat over them! :teeth:)

I hate teachers like that! The best teachers are the ones that really have it in their hearts to teach. It's not just a job to them, it's a calling. DS's regular teacher this year is like that. She has a passion for it! And the teacher he will have next year is the same!
