Since I can complain :p I still haven't been able to get my airline tickets for May...and, we were supposed to go to a cabin/camping in June for the weekend and I just got a letter yesterday that my reservation was cancelled because they haven't recoved from a fire months ago in the area :headache:

 hope you can find alternate plans.... or you can always do a "little" road trip too :rotfl:

a little trip in our books is something where we can be home in less than 7 days!!! :rotfl:

but yeah, it was about 4 days to get here (of course we stopped everywhere to take a ton of pics to scrap-- but it was FUN)

today we head home north going thru vegas then denver.... its the "shorter route" although we do loose 2 hours with the time changes going in that direction:eek:

 Little trip = 7 days - Pam

Little trip = a couple of hours - Kelli

:lmao:

 It's so true. When my kids were little was the happiest time of my life...from the time DD was born until our youngest was about 5. I wasn't working and we didn't have any money :rotfl: but we always could make do with what we had, even the three tv channels and no cable! :lmao:

;) DH and I were talking about a smiliar topic on our trip the other day.... there is a lot of time in a car on a road trip to talk about a lot of things ;) but remember when was a big game!!! and the TV channels, and seat belts were a common topic

alright its 7 am here and we are shutting down and heading out --- 3 hrs till vegas.

TTFN

:thumbsup2

Andie was sick all week, she went Monday and came home with a fever so we was out tue, wed, and thur:eek: I went to pick up her work and I told her teacher I thought she'd be back today and she says "well we wont' be here, theres no school Fri or Mon":rotfl: so she's had a extra long vacation

Glad she's feeling better. Maybe she'll get to enjoy her days off today and Monday.

i'm soooo glad she's feeling better, she didn't sleep for 2 days and it was killing her!

She won't have time to enjoy the time off she has too much work to catch up on now:rotfl:

Most of the teachers here at the elementary level find time for the kids to make-up work in school if they know that they've been really sick. Sorry she's got so much work to catch up on.

Gotta vent! I am so :furious: right now!

I went Tuesday to have the chest x-ray done to see if any of the pneumonia remained. My doctor had told me to go either Monday or Tuesday and then to call his office the next morning for the results.

I called Wednesday afternoon and they said that they hadn't received the results yet and to call Thursday morning.

I called Thursday morning and they said they still hadn't received the results so they would track them down. They said to call back in the afternoon.

I called yesterday at 4:30 and she said that the radiology department at the hospital said that they'd been backed up! THAT'S RIDICULOUS! If someone has to have an x-ray there is a reason and they need results. I'd really like to know if I'm walking around with pneumonia or not!

I just called and still they say they don't have results. She told me to call back before noon!

I really think this is a problem with my doctor's office and not the radiologist. I have an appointment with the urologist this afternoon and it would be nice if I was able to tell him whether or not I have pneumonia!!

I have my stove timer set so that I can call the doctor's office back in 45 minutes!

Thanks for letting me vent!

Sorry about the run around Kathy. That is just crazy. Hope they have the answer for you soon.

Well, I finally got my answer...lungs are clear ~ no pneumonia! :cool1:

But, while I was waiting for the timer to go off so that I could call I went out to get the mail. The company I work for wasted no time to process my short term disability claim. (They only got the paperwork from my doctor Wednesday!) They denied my claim based on it being a pre-existing condition. I can appeal and they told me how to go about it but I doubt I'll get anywhere with it. I have not actually been treated for a kidney stone for four years. However, I was put on medication for gout earlier this year and the doctor had to give me another medication to counter-act that medication so as not to cause stones due to my history. So I'm sure there is something in my records that'll cause them to deny an appeal.

Honestly, I've felt from the very beginning that I wouldn't get any short-term disability benefits.

Oh well, at least I have some time off ~and~ I am getting better day by day! Money isn't everything! I'll just keep looking at the bright side of it!
