A.J.'s scrimmage volleyball game got cancelled today. I had gone to town to have the chest x-ray done but my friend had gone to town just for the game. It got cancelled just an hour before the game. So, there we both were having made a trip all the way into town. So, what better thing to do than....lunch! We went to Applebee's for a late lunch. (This is the same friend that I went out with yesterday. Whenever the two of us get together you know there's going to be food involved!)

I joked with him that night....do you know what we could have done with that??? He just glared at me. (Gee, no sense of humor!) Can you imagine having to sit there and count all that!

Thank you my friends....dinner was absolutely delicious! It was beef teriyaki and the beef was so tender. This is the second Ala Zing meal that had beef strips in it and the beef melted in your mouth. Everyone had a full helping, Andrew had seconds and there was about a serving leftover! Mmmmm! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Guess what!

The doctor's office (in VA) called right before we had dinner. The secretary had just done my disability papers and faxed them to my employer but she said she had made a mistake. She wanted me to know that she was going to type a letter and fax the letter along with the corrected form and then mail both to the company.

She said that the mistake that she had made was that she put my "able to return to work date" as 4/15. (I thought it was supposed to be 4/10.) She said that she had gone back and checked with the doctor and it's supposed to be 4/30!!!

I don't even care about the disability pay for the extra 2 weeks, I just want a little extra time at home and some extra time to really be back on my feet. And we've been budgeting everything with the thoughts that the disability pay may not come through for any part of my time off so it's not about the disability pay at all.

I have been dreading next week because I was to go back to work and I just don't feel like I can be on my feet for 8-9 hours like I am at work, especially on the busy days where it's constant!

The extra time off will hurt our budget, that's for sure, but it'll be worth it and we'll make it up.

Well, I really don't expect the money. Our company looks for every way out of paying disability (even though it's insurance that we have to pay for). The last three to four weeks before I ended up on my leave I only worked 30 hours and either 32 or 36 is considered full-time. So, I really expect the company to use that as a loophole for not paying. That's why I said I don't really expect the disability pay and we've budgeted for not getting it. But we'll see. It certainly would be nice to get.

Worry no more! Everything we've had so far (burgers, beef stroganoff, beef teriyaki with white rice - yes even the rice was from Ala Zing) has been fantastic! I wouldn't hesitate to order from them and will definitely check them out when I need to send a gift!!
