Sorry I haven't been around much. Between work, school, girl scout cookies, big birthday bash, I have just been so busy.

My dad is home, he is getting his 7 hours a day of PT. His memory is still the same, he is still searching for words. His "wound" is healing nicely.

He made the deal with his Brother to buy it than it was needing some repairs. So it got put ogg, because they had to take it in several times before it was fixed right. Now I am hearing that it is fixed right and running.

There was some talk of his company just buying it and than they can all use it. So I am not sure where we stand with the boat.

And I haven't brought the subject back up.

hey all!! Well I FINALLY get to post! it's been kinda crazy since the last time I talked to ya all!

Smarypants left his laptop cord at my house in Houston so we were gonna go back and get it b/c the battery was dead, then his brother decided he would FedEx it so we didn't have to drive back. Ok fine we'd have it by Fri right. WRONG!

All Thur. night I couldn't sleep, I kept waking up like every 2 or 3 hours and I just couldn't get comfy even though I had been fine all week.

I just felt like something was wrong. I couldn't shake it, He kept asking me what was wrong and I couldn't explain, I just felt like something was wrong.

Well we're sitting here having lunch and the phone rings. It was Art. My mom was in the hospital. He said they took her Thur night but didn't call till Fri.WTH! my mom is in the hospital I should have been the 1st person they called!

Whatever! I had to wait till Eddie got off of work that day and we drove to Houston. When I talked to art he said they thought it was my moms heart and that she had a heart attack! I was freaked!! So we get there in half the time it should normally take. He has a fast car lol, and everything was fine. It was just her acid reflux.

Stupid Drs had me scared outta my mind and that's all it was! She's still in the hospital but they said she was fine and just needed to run a couple more test then she was coming home today.

So now I'm back here in Fort Worth with the cord I'll have no problems getting online now

Tracy - so sorry about your scare...but so glad to hear it was acid reflux and not a heart attack!!

Morning all!

Well I talked to my mom this morning and she's home now but she said they did her colonoscopy yesterday and they removed a palup (sp?) She's waiting to find out if it's cancer or not. I'm praying it's not!! I don't think i could take it if it was!!!

Tracy - I'll be keeping her in my thoughts and prayers, too! How long will it take for her to get the results???

I think that perhaps that the main reason DD and her finance don't want an after party for their "drinking" friends is because they don't want to have to pay for it themselves. Explain to them that you love them very much and are doing your best to make this a special day for them...but you just can't go into debt anymore than you already have or will. Also your last paragraph says it all...tell your DD that and be firm.

And yes...in many states you can be legally responsible for someone who is involved in an accident, etc. if they can prove they "had too much" at your affair.

And we live in one of those states!!!

Kelli - Maybe now is the time to ask! He's coming off the high of getting the job done himself and probably feeling pretty proud of it! So maybe if you ask now he'll just want to keep going onto another project!
