But the rooms are nice and Big enough for all 5 of us-The pull out bed was a nice feature too and the curtain that draws shut by the bathrooms was a time saver for getting changed/dressed with all of us!!!

I think we just went at a busy time of the year-I forgot that it was President week and the crowds reflected that-The only thing that made the entire trip great was the fact that we had free hopper passes -so when we found the park too crowded we could head over to another park!!!!:thumbsup2

Love the rooms/resort-hated the bus transportation due to the fact that the resort is so BIG -we always had a extremely long line back to the resorts at the end of the day-Plus we shared buses with PO-FQ

But we had a room right near the main depot so the walk to our room was very short:thumbsup2 Very nice after a long day!!!!

We loved the resort and rooms. I guess we were lucky. We didn't really have a problem with the bus transporation. Sorry to hear about the long waits.

We got creative though-we would ride another bus to the TTC and hop on the monorail-it helped a little

Wish I was-But I'm just not a good person to be around in the early morning-my best times are around 4pm and after!!! Hence the reason I do so well on the night shift!!!

OK off to go get dinner-see you all later :wave2:

Oh man - I am looking at a cookbook in the bread section.

Creamy Caramel Pecan Rolls. :goodvibes

English Muffin Bread. :goodvibes

I buy that at the store, it is so good.

Good evening everyone.

What a day. I am so tired.

I just got on here for a minute to ask for some help and some advise...

DD, DH and I are going round and round. DH and I have tried to bend over backwards to make DD's wedding special. We're trying to let her have whatever she wants, as long as we feel we can afford it. The whole wedding is really going to be putting us in a bind financially but we're still trying to go all out as much as possible for DD. This isn't something we planned on and to spend all this money within only about 4 months is going to hurt us.

Well, DD, DH and I differ on one big thing though - alcohol at the reception. DD and her fiance want to have alcohol at the reception. We have said no. We cannot afford the extra expense but more importantly we do not want to serve alcohol. It may be fine for some people but we don't feel it's right for our family. Alcoholism runs in our family. I stopped drinking when I became pregnant with DD and just never have had the desire to drink again. DH used to drink but quit about five years ago. In my family there are six of us cousins; one has died from his alcoholism, three others are alcoholics and there are only two of us that aren't alcoholics!

Another big reason is that we have younger boys and don't feel that they should be around DD and her friends when they are drinking.

And the last reason is because of DH's job. If someone throws a party and someone underage drinks the host of the party may be held legally responsible which could cause a lot of problems for any person. In our case, it could cause DH to lose his job.

The original plan was that DD and her fiance were going to have an "after party" after the reception for only certain people. Now she says that it's just getting too confusing figuring out the logistics of getting that worked out.

Oh, and by the way, the wedding is tentatively set for 1:00 p.m. with the reception at 3:00 p.m. That, to me, is quite early for drinking.

So - any comments, suggestions, advise would be appreciated.

*****I just got to thinking and wanted to get back on here and edit my post to add something....please don't think that I have a problem with someone that drinks. And if you guys drink, that's fine, that's your choice. There's been lots of posts on here about having some drinks and that doesn't bother me. What one person does is their business so please don't think that I'm saying anything against drinking in general. It's just not for our family. I hope I didn't offend anyone. I went to bed and was thinking about what I had posted and I thought to myself - man, I hope no one takes it the wrong way. That's why I had to get back up and post this. Hope you guys understand!

Kathy, if it were me in your situation, I DEFINETLY would not have any drinking. There is your DH's job, you have three under-age boys, the liability and the expense. I wouldn't give it a second thought. You ARE making her day a special day and they can all party after the reception (if they want too...I would be too tired after all the stress! :) ) heck, they can party the night before and the wedding day :rolleyes1

good morning everyone one

hope you all had a great monday!

Kathy,

sorry you guys are having a tough time about dd;s reception! I understand why you wouldn't want to have drinking at the party.Ther are to many worries about the whole situation!

I liked lyns idea of a pre wedding party! isn't that what bachorette parties are for??

have a terrific Tuesday everyone!

Thanks Lyn!

DH and I had a long talk about it last night.

I'm still anxious to see what everyone else's opinion is, though.

Thanks Kelly! Yup, that's what the bachlorette party is for...and the bachlor party and they already planned to party after the rehearsal dinner.

Have a great day Kelly!

BTW - I like your new ticker...less than six months til your trip! :cool1: I would be sooo excited!

We got the news yesterday that Nana is going to be having her surgery (to remove her kidney) on Thursday, March 15th. I'm off today but need to stop by and talk to my supervisor to figure out the logistics of my time off. DD and I are supposed to go to FL March 8th - March 11th but I may have to cancel that in order to go to PA the following week. I don't know if I had posted or not that I had talked with my supervisor and the store manager and assistant manager about the whole situation (of going to PA for Nana) and they all said the same thing, "Do what you've got to do and don't worry about your job!" They're all very supportive and I appreciate that so much. So if I have to cancel the days for FL it won't bother me.
