Yeah, that tends to hurt that loving feeling! Neither of ours will bite at all. We've had some that did, though, and you just don't want to spend the time with them if they're going to be like that.

Yep-this last one was a bit too wild to tame-and most of the other hamsters we had have never bitten-so no love lost there-just too bad she had to die,I don't know where this Pet Store get their hamsters,but it's a bad supplier!!!

I sure hope it starts to warm up soon-especially in 2 weeks when we are in WDW!!!!

Man the devastation is pretty bad in the Orlando area-I wonder if we'll see it when we're down there!!!

I'm glad that Kelli didn't get effected by the storms-I hate tornados

we had them every summer in WI and they scared me and the Kids the most-at least we had a basement to hide in,but when a big one hits that's not even safe since the house tends to collapse into the basements

Oh-DS has admitted to drinking and with this particular friend-so I'm glad he feels comfortable to share this info-but I really wish he wouldn't drink!!!

I'm very against drinking to get drunk-and he knows it!!!! (remember my Sister was killed by a drunk driver teen when I was 15-she was only 17) so He knows better-but boys will be boys!!!! Better to face reality than ignore it

DD is the same way - very open. Sometimes too open! But you're right, better to gace reality than to ignore it. That way, you can have those open talks and let them know exactly how you feel. I know DD drinks and I, too, do not believe in drinking to get drunk. But she knows how I feel and she also know how I feel about drinking and driving. If she's ever faces with the situation of needing a ride, I don't care if she's down in Charlotte, she knows she can call home and I'll come get her.

Remember when they had the bad hurricanes in the fall of 2005?? (I can't remember the name of the really bad one that went through there.) It spawned several tornadoes, too. We went to WDW is the end of October and we could not believe all the damage. And that was after a month or so of clean-up. Very sad!

It is sad-and seeing it on the TV is one thing,but seeing it in person is another-I'm sure we'll see some damage then in 2 weeks

Well, I've got to tell you about my day yesterday...

Right before I left to drive down to Conover I called DD. Her morning class had been cancelled so she drove up to Conover (about an hour's drive for her) and we met for lunch at Red Lobster before my appointment. We had about an hour and a half together and it was very nice. Naturally, all we talked about were wedding plans.

Then I went to my appointment and FINALLY got my machine!

I left my appointment at 3:30 and since I was in "the big city" I decided to go to Super Walmart and Michaels. Well, DS called at about 4:30 and said it was snowing. Yeah, sure! (We were supposed to have two MAJOR snow storms this week and both wimped out. Yesterday we were supposed to have some rain with the possibility of it changing to snow showers AFTER MIDNIGHT.) I told him I'd be on my way home shortly. Mind you, I was still an hour and a half from home.

That's right!!!! So How was the 1st night

About 15 minutes later DH called and said it was snowing hard, I better start home. So I did.

Since it wasn't supposed to snow I had taken the van and not the four-wheel drive truck.
