Sorry about that. I had to do some work.

This year was so much better than last. We walked along the beaches and the view was amazing at times. The route was really rewarding because we were in the public view the whole time.

And other than some blister I did very well.

And believe it or not I just received and e-mail to sign up for the 2007 3-day walk.

it doesn't seem like it does but thankfully I haven't had to fight with the kids' school this year.

I am ususally done with Christmas shopping by now, but this year is a tough one. My kids haven't even figured out what they want to be for Halloween, let alone what they'd like for Christmas

it doesn't seem like it does but thankfully I haven't had to fight with the kids' school this year.

I just talked to one of the member's of the school board and was told that the next step I need to take is to go to the superintendent, which I will do tomorrow. We are 1/4 of the way through the school year and they still do not have a special ed teacher for grades 6-8 and these kids (Matthew being one of them) are just slipping through the cracks! Matthew got a C in math and it comes from his math teacher not knowing he even had an IEP until 3 or 4 weeks into the school year! They have no qualified subs - they're using bus drivers, cafeteria workers and "moms" as subs. No one qualified is making a lesson plan or grading any work!

I'm sorry I just had to vent!

I can't even imagine being done with Christmas shopping by this time. I do so much last minute stuff!

I'm supposed to go to Pigeon Forge on 11/6 for a Christmas shopping trip with my friend. My first "girl's getaway!" But the budget is really tight right now and now I'm not so sure if I'll be able to go or not!
