I could be wrong but I thought you said you were renting it

were renting-and I wouldn't buy this home the driveway is a nightmare-very steep and the foundation is having a few issues-is't braeking away in one corner-plus the retaining wall for teh driveway is nearly gone-she's going to fix all that-but in another 10-15 yrs it will happen again

so next year or 2 we will be house hunting in this area-just not yet

It does sound romantic doesn't it-what really happened was we were married in Europe(Denmark) since we were stationed with the Army in Germany-when we went to see my Aunt since my Mom was visiting her from the States(all my relatives live in Germany) she and my Mom sent us on a Bus ride down to the Riveria-the French side and Italian-it was very nice-but we were so broke-we barely had enough $$$ for food-we shared meals and bought rolls and deli meat from local shops in the tourist spots-it was kinda romantic

That actually does sound Romantic to me

but one of my favorite Dates with DH was to just drive and drive until we got lost and than find a place to graba burger and work our way back

unfortunaly now that he is a truck driver that isn't so easy to do anymore

Today is the first day of school here
Jess starts 8th and isn't nervous at all

Erica starts 6th and is scared to death
her first year in middle school with changing classes and all
and she is worried they will be Mad cause she can't write
the cast completely covers her thumb and goes part way up her fingers cause of where the break is

My kids get SO mad cause I tell them Rules are the Rules and if you don't like them than NO TRAMPOLINE

my DD's friend has one and her Mother doesn't moniter it at all
I picked Jess up there once and 6 girls were on the Trampoline
Jess was sitting on the bench
she said she knew I would be upset if she was on it to with that many

there were three girls smart enough Not to climb on with the crowd

that's me too!!

Trav came home the other day from a friend's house and said "mom, so-and-so's trampoline must be stronger than ours and have a bigger weight limit b/c there were like 8 kids on it and it didn't break!!"

I said "uh-no..... they just don't follow the rules like they should"

I really should be sleeping now. I have to work tonight 5-10:30 and then go back in at 5am tomorrow I am so mad that they did that to me two weeks in a row!! I am sure it's against the law!

Hi everyone

just stopping by on my way out the door. Back to school and back to the commute. So I am off, I'll be back in the PM.

Kinder was good!

He didn't want to tell me anything about it at first. He said "I want to tell daddy first, then you" It was super sweet for dh, but a little heartbreaking for me

He was a little nervous at first when it was time for me to leave, but he did great He came out of class all excited.

I got to meet the PTA people and I'm hoping to get really involved in it.

I'm glad his first day went so well. Sorry he wanted to tell daddy first, though. I know how hard that is.

We don't have a PTA but we have a PTSO (Parent Teacher Student Organization) and I'm the treasurer. This is my fourth year of doing that, I was treasurer last year and was re-elected this year. And then I had done it in the 1998-1999 school year and then was re-elected for the 1999-2000 school year. I enjoy being involved.

Wow!! What time do the girls go to bed??!

my kids don't really even like the options for lunches here. And I don't think I could afford them anyway! $2 a day X 4 kids = $8 a day = $40 a week = $200 a month! Our household grocery budget is only $100 a week, so I can't see me spending 40% of it on school lunches!

I bought a couple of thermos containers so two kids can have a hot lunch everyday. Today is chicken noodle soup day here. :
