Holy cow when it rains it pours.

I would be P.O'ed at my bank for holding any kind of check like that. Especially in this day and age. Everything is electronically processed and they funds are removed from the account the day the check is processed. There is NO reason to be holding any kind of checks no matter where they are from.
Exactly what I was thinking and I told about 2 of the girls at the bank exactly the same thing-this is Bull@#*&!!!!! Give me a break!!!!But no ma'am a cashiers check can still be cancelled-whatever!!!!!

He was so scared he was shaking thru the entire procedure-and apoligized about 4 times-I really hope he learned a lesson!!!! It really could of been worse!!!!

Hopefully they all learned a lesson. I am sure it scared the others as well.

Kim that is a bunch of B.S. A cashiers check is as good as cash. Somebody is not being up front with you.

The whole thing with a cashiers check is you have to get it from your bank with available funds in your account. And the funds are taken right when the check is printed. That is a load of crap that they are holding that check for 3 days.
But they claim since it's from out of state-it isn't!!!! And we really needed that check to get our van!!! Now I have to come up with everything in cash!!!

and That's exactly what I thought too-same as cash :furious:

When I get a cashier's check printed they take that $$ out of my account as soon as they print it.

They shouldn't be holding that $$ from you :furious:

Thanks for listening-I feel better already!!! You Guys are the BEST!! :grouphug:

The problem is that banks (and businesses) are being flooded with counterfeit checks these days. People can print them on their own home computers, doesn't even take anything sophistacated to be able to do it.
