I "wanna" come, but don't think I can...my life is at the mercy of a school schedule now we have a family party on another island in September...we were thinking of making it a looong weekend like we normally would, then we realized DS has school on Mondays

It's tough to adjust to once the kiddo's hit school age. We found that the elementary school would always work with us, as long as it was something "educational." But the high school - forget it! They're very strict.

I don't want to jinx anything, but how is your DD doing? is she dating anyone new?

well I am off to take G to get his Kinder shots.

Then I'm picking up pizza for dinner, then two friends to sleep over, then I'm parking my be-hind on the couch and watching BB (big brother).

I may be back on later tonight, but not if dh gets his way and we go to the midnight showing

I don't want to jinx anything, but how is your DD doing? is she dating anyone new?

I haven't talked much about it because I am afraid to jinx it! But she is doing really well right now. She has not spoken with her ex for four weeks... a major accomplishment. I really think it is over between them but I'm so afraid that if I think that way something will happen and she'll go back to him. She is "sort-of" dating someone and he is treating her great!! But most importantly, she is spending a lot of time hanging out with a variety of friends! That's what she's needed since she started college.

When she was home for DH's birthday they had a nice long talk and I think now that the ex is out of the picture there may be some hope. She mentioned when she was home that she plans to finish school and get her Criminal Justice degree but now she's not sure if she wants to go on to law school or not. She said she is considering.....

Believe me I wish I could come this Dec. but I might be getting a really REALLY good deal on a resort stay in Nov. of next year so that's really helping me! PLUS it's far enough away that I have pleanty of time to save
