Okay, guys. I need some help/opinions here. Here's a pic of the family room furniture we're getting. (Just the sofa set and the recliner - not the tables.)

What are your opinions on these tables. They're called apothecary tables.

DD and I really like them but DH and Andrew say that they look more like bedroom furniture.

Love LOVE LOVE the tables, but honestly I'm not crazy about the couch. BUT I've never liked sectionals, plus it's just the 3 of us in the house so we don't need all the extra room

Love LOVE LOVE the tables, but honestly I'm not crazy about the couch. BUT I've never liked sectionals, plus it's just the 3 of us in the house so we don't need all the extra room

DH and the boys are the ones that wanted the sectional and I kind of gave in. The one thing I was insistent on was getting a sleeper sofa. Once we priced out sofas sleepers with matching loveseats and recliners we came back to the sectional because of the price. It's got a recliner in one end of the sectional and the sleeper in the other end and then it has a matching, seperate recliner.

They had said it would take 2-1/2 to 3 hours to get the carpeting done but they've been here 2-1/2 hours and I don't see them leaving within an hour. Guess it's more than they thought.

I don't mind except that DH got called out to work and I'm supposed to pick Matthew up at 4. Hmmmm. Need to think this through.

....I absolutely LOVE those tables - however, I'm not a 'sectional-sofa-kind-of-gal'....the tables look more 'rustic', 'folksy', etc. which I love - the sectional is too 'modern' for my personal taste......

I never really thought of the sectional as modern... Wow! I'm modern. That's something I've never been before. (I've never kept up with trends and such, I've always just liked what I like and the heck with trends.) I always pictured a sectional as very family oriented, though. Everyone flopping on it together!
