Housing is cheap hear compared to the rest of the nation. My aunt lives an hour outside of DC, and when she had a new house built less than a year ago, the company wanted $10,000 to build a 10 by 12 deck on the back of the house.

Somebody here on the boards posted their house for sale and it is a two story almost 2500 s.f. house in TN. She was only asking $196,000. That would be a steal here right now.

Please are pay more here for less house. :confused3

DD's doctor mentioned that they could still hear her LOUD murmur is still there. :worried:

The Cardiologist says that it is an innocent one but still freaks me out.

Do they think it's something she'll have all her life or do they think she'll outgrow it??? Innocent meaning not to worry about? (Although you probably do anyway. I would!)

WHERE the heck did you live?

Our neighbor is selling his house for close to $300,000. I am like NO WAY! And he has people interested.

Our probelm is we can afford it sell but not buy. No way to I want to be house poor. And that is what would happen if we sold our house now.

We would have to rent until the Market bubbles pops and than buy. NO THANKS!!!

We had a waterfront house (canal) over near Treasure Island. I checked the transactions on the house....we sold it in 1989, it sold in 1990 for $190,000. They didn't make much, if anything, when they sold it 'cause when they bought it from us they completely gutted the kitchen and did a lot of other MAJOR renovations so I doubt they made any money on it. Then it sold in 1991 for $220,000 and then it sold in 1996 for $370,000!!!!! The property taxes (without homestead) are almost $13,000!!!

I wouldn't even consider selling yours and moving right now unless you had to!

She was born with it and we were told she would out grow it. Which should have already happened and she didn't.

Last year they were worried about it so we headed off to the Cardiologist to get it checked out. but in there book they said it is innocent. But yes I still worry about it all the time.

Sometimes she looks very pale to us. So it freaks me out.

It's starting to get that way here. But for now they've stopped the condos and multi-family dwelling from going up because they don't have the water supply!

I guess I can't compalain about property costs. Ours has more than quadrupled since we moved here in 1991. Of course, we've done major work to the house.

Oh man you would beleive the beach. All the little hotels are gone and Condos are going up in their place.

Every place that had a mobile home park is gone and condos are going up. Small golf courses are gone. I can't believe that many people want to live in basically an Apartment.

I'm finally caught up on reading back for what I missed today. (I gave up trying to read back for the three days I missed!!!)

Time to head for bed, though. See you guys in the morning.

Hello...

Just practicing on a crappy tuba. The guy in the chair above me decided to play the tuba I was using instead of the one he had, and since we use school instruments, and he is the higher chair, I had to give it to him. So now I am practicing to challenge him and get my tuba back.
you can do it :thumbsup2

Plus this is the first time I have EVER left DD for 3 days. And she is 7 years old.

She has only spent one night away from me at a time and it has only been like 3 or 4 times.
 I know how you feel

Where I go to the beach, an oceanfront house is going to be around a million dollars.
