Hey do any of you or your DH's know what to look for when buying a telescope?

I want to get DH one for our anniversay and don't have a clue what I am doing....

..if it was about a car, tool, or elevator DH would be all over it, but not a telescope. I do have a friend who has one, I can email her to see if she has any info.

ugh!!!


its started to thunderstorm/sleet now. The streets still aren't cleaned up from last night and this morning!!! Everything is like a sheet of bumpy glass!!!

its started to thunderstorm/sleet now. The streets still aren't cleaned up from last night and this morning!!! Everything is like a sheet of bumpy glass!!!

I think I'm going straight home today, I'm gonna skip my night class (don't tell my students!!!) the streets look BAD from the window here, and I don't think I want to be on them tonight!!!

oh well, the proffessor will just have to understand!!!

a one hour commute is bad enough with out an ice storm!!!! (that will add another hour easy!!!)

I'll ask DH about it when he gets up. He has a really good telescope but doesn't use it that much anymore.

To give you an idea of how good his telescope is....we sold my car (in 1985) and the next day he bought this telescope using all the money from my car plus another $400!!!! Men and their toys!

Then after we sold the car he decided he wanted this toy. I was ready to kill him. But it's something that he did get a lot of use out of and we still have it for the boys to use!

No I am at school but today is IEP meeting day, so inbetween meetings, I just "look" at the DIS Come on, a girl has got to keep her sanity!!!
