At least it has a warranty, 3 years or 75,000 miles. That'll get us one month past our last payment on our truck! Our van has 168,000 miles on it so I really shouldn't complain!

you have 168,000 miles in 3 years? I guess I can understand since you drive to your vacations...I feel a little better about my van. 5 years and over 60,000....DH and I were just talking about it this weekend.

I would love to get a new car. But I really hate the payments.

That is what DH and I were talking about. I was thinking that at 100,000 miles I would fix up my dings and paint the van...it would be about 8 years old. He thinks we may want to get a new car then....I told him I better start saving now (or after our vacation ) I really don't want to have a car payment again

I really like spending money on the things that I want. And if we have a car payment that curbs our Disney trips and fun things that we do.

So true. Once my kids are out of preschool we may have more disposable income...but I should really work on paying down my house, plus by then my home may need some maintenance stuff like painting the inside, then their saving for retirement and college, but it is so nice to enjoy life too ...

I just thought, I am so glad I am here. If I had made a statement such as this on the budget board I would be the most irresponsible person in the world...and I will just add in for fun, "my kids will only be young once!"

We are normal around here. I need to do some things to my house. We need to put a new roof on. But I really like to let my hair down and get away for the weekend. I need to unwind sometimes.
