Our van has 168,000 miles on it so I really shouldn't complain!

you have 168,000 miles in 3 years? I guess I can understand since you drive to your vacations...I feel a little better about my van. 5 years and over 60,000....DH and I were just talking about it this weekend.Stephieann said:great we are under ANOTHER tornado warning till 7:45 Pm my time.... it is 7 pm here now

That is what DH and I were talking about. I was thinking that at 100,000 miles I would fix up my dings and paint the van...it would be about 8 years old. He thinks we may want to get a new car then....I told him I better start saving now (or after our vacation
) I really don't want to have a car payment again

So true. Once my kids are out of preschool we may have more disposable income...but I should really work on paying down my house, plus by then my home may need some maintenance stuff like painting the inside, then their saving for retirement and college, but it is so nice to enjoy life tooMom2Ashli said:I really like spending money on the things that I want. And if we have a car payment that curbs our Disney trips and fun things that we do.

I just thought, I am so glad I am here. If I had made a statement such as this on the budget board I would be the most irresponsible person in the world...and I will just add in for fun, "my kids will only be young once!"
