What the @#$% was that??? I was sitting there saying to DH, "Is the dream over yet?" and "Annette Benning??"

I'm not sure why they would try to get so "artsy" with only two episodes left to go. I find it hard to believe they'll be able to salvage this season in the next two weeks.

Is it only me or does anyone else feel very disappointed with the way this season's episodes have turned? I thought the first 4 or 5 this season were excellent and since then I just keep thinking that next week will be better.

The only good thing about last night's episode was that Big ***** Bompensaro was back, even if for only a couple of seconds. I wanted more!

Also, did anybody else think it was maybe not coincidental that Dr. Melfi was walking through the lobby when Tony (I mean Mr. Petraglia;) ) was checking into The Plaza? What was that about?

Edited to put in a last name so you'd know what autocensor "bleeped" out:teeth:

I thought it was freaky, but fascinating. I just started watching The Sopranos this year, so I don't have a frame of reference to compare it to other seaons. I am enjoying it, though. Sometimes the violence is a little much for me (that's why I've never really watched it before).

1) the DR triggered the dream
2) what was up with the 'lady' at the hotel, that was not a dream because when Chrissy picked up the candybar, there was a cigarette and cigar in the ashtray
3)Artie...not sure what he was warning him of
4) Big P was good to see him
5) "is it daylight where you are yet?"
6) Other Tony is starting an all out WAR

I just couldn't get it last night. I think it was too thought provoking and I was not in the mood to think:D The Annette Benning part was funny though.

I thought the dream was cool (but why wasn't Janice in it  ?)

I wish I'd taped it. I think it was a neat way to show all the things that lead to Tony's stress - and I think the result of that stress is going to be the focus of the last two episodes this season. Watch out!

I've been disappointed that it's been slow going this season in general, though. I think they're trying to stretch some storylines out longer than they'd planned to fill out the last season.

I thought it was interesting. It really made youthink and try to determine what was going on in Tony's mind. I think he is at a major crossroads in his ife and it's weighing on his mind heavily. I know that when something is on my mind all the time I tend to dream about it.

I no it was disconcerting at first, but the more I watched the more I took notice of the little things. How Fin became AJ and then back to Fin at the dinner table with the crooked cop and Annette Benning. I liked it. It's not your usual Sopranos episode but I thought it was an intersting switch.

I was thoroughly confused  I haven't been happy with this season either but last week when they were at the farm - that was taped up here by me. YEA! It was interesting to see and on the credits they "Thanked" the town. We met "my good friend Jim" when they were up here last winter.

What's going to happen next week?!?

That episode really threw me! I was bored out of my mind! LOL I couldn't wait for it to be over. I know he was just trying to sort out everything in his mind, but come on! Let's get back to the old Sopranos!

It was interesting at first, but they dragged it on for way too long.

I started yelling at the TV "WAKE UP!!!" :p :p :p

Way too complicated for me -- in fact, I dozed off a few times myself and when I stirred I found that Tony was still dreaming. I'll catch it again before next week's episode to make sure I didn't miss anything but I'll be glad when they get back to regular format.

I thought this was an actually, if not the only, interesting episode of the season. I am also very disappointed with this season. They could have done so much with so many of the characters! My biggest peeve is the Feds and Adrianna - enough!!!

I'm totally annoyed. Enough already with his dreams, who cares why he has them? He's a mobster with a conscience I guess.

I really, really hope that next week and the following will blow our minds.

Who did Christopher say got wacked at the end!? It flew by us and we did not tape it and can not rewind to figure out. We thought the episode was weird too and my wife said she dreamed of dead people last night.

Well, I just got my computer fixed after it crashed this weekend. I wanted so badly to hop on the DIS last night after that episode of the Sopranos to see what everyone thought. Personally---it wasted an entire episode. I would rather have the dream only take up 1/2 the episode and then move on with the stories after that. I mean, there are only 2 more episodes left--I don't want to see them wasted.

::yes::

I'm disappointed with the entire season!!!!!

Tony B. whacked Billy Leotardo. Tony S. said to Christopher, "You mean Philly Leotardo, right" and he said no Billy but Phil got winged, also. Tony B. went out on his own to avenge Angelo's death at Phil's hands.

She was a "dial a W****" who Tony called PRIOR to the start of the screwed up dream.....the last thing we saw in "real time" was her "getting a drink" while Tony was on the phone with Paulie....Then he woke up "Dreaming"

I can't think of the guys name, but you know the guy in the Red Car, who killed that old guy? I think it was his "right hand man" that chrissy said got killed at the end.

For the preview we had last week, I thought this was going to be a GOOD episode, but nope, it was another lame excuse for a Soprano episode...

I'm actually happy theres only 2 more episodes, maybe Deadwood can move to 9, instead of 10, then I can get in bed earlier!

I am glad I am not the only one who wondered "What the..." after last night's episode.

I think this season's episodes are lacking in something, too.

I can't wait for the new season of Six Feet Under to start!!!

Man, I must be in the minority around here..I acctually thought last night was a GREAT episode. I felt like it was a real through back to the first two seasons....if not stylistically, at least in meaning. Think the episode with the talking fish, the snow on the dock, etc.

I think las tnights episode was mostly about how glorified that mobster world is...how manly it seems to everyone...like old western flicks made cowboys seem (hence the westerns be shown of the TVs everywhere.) Well Tony is finally begining to see that his world isn't what he wishes he would be doing with his life, hence the coach telling him he's not prepared and could have been much more. I think Tony has lived in this world for so long and that he too has been over glorifying it, hence the reason ithe TVs switched to his life..which was somewhat mundane.

There is an all out war coming though....and its going to hang over into the next season, this season finale will be quite the cliff hanger i bet....I'd expect little to no answers.

Personally, I think this season has been leaps and bounds better than last season...I do think that all of the seasons have been much much better than most anything else on television. I am excited about next week though....

I'm with you, Josh. Best episode since season 2.
I LOVED it - it was smart, thought-provoking and funny.
