'We really need to go ahead and join the Disney Vacation Club". I almost fell off the chair!!! I have been "convincing" him of all the benefits for about 6 months now and all he ever says is, "Not now". We are spending a few days at Disney next week and I am planning on taking the tour at the BCV. Hopefully we will be putting down our deposit next week!!! I am so excited!!

"Congradulations", and since you live in Florida, you never have to worry about the expense of airline tx,rental car, etc.

You may also want to check out WLV which would be available by resale from our website sponsor "The Timeshare Store" just click on the link on teh top right corner of this screen.

Personally, we really love teh BCV, but you've got time to consider all teh options and visit all the resorts while your there. WLV will be a change from teh florida style beach theme of BCV. There's also BWV and OKW. Check out the point charts above too.

Good luck, sounds exciting.

Congrats and come join the many folks like yourself who have come to love the DVC community.

Just a note, pick the resort that gives you that "11 month window".:D

Gosh, I wish my DW would say that. Anyone else got a DH that isn't as interested in DVC as much as you are? Maybe we could trade :p .

I feel your joy! My dh took two years to the day to finally say yes! I've got the paperwork and need to send it in by the end of the week. I am toooo excited:Pinkbounc

Get him to sign quickly!:D It took me a year and a half to get dh to sign. We were supposed to hear the presentation at HH for WLV (which did not appeal to dh) but had to cancel the trip to go see dh's parents. A little over a year later I found out about resale on these boards and I was finally able to convince dh and get a small add on at BCV afterwards. :D

It took me awhile to convince my husband, but he finally gave in. I also just talked him into an add on as well. So, don't give up!

Try and take some time to visit all of the DVC properties at WDW. You might feel a "connection" with one over the other. For example, when I am getting the feeling for a "serene" vacation, I always think of the VWL. OKW is also a relaxing resort, but with a quaainter theme. BCV and BWV are "in the middle of the action", and therefore busier.

My best advice...buy where you think you'd always be happy to stay if you could never stay anywhere else on WDW property again. If you think it's OKW or BWV, think resale.

Also just don't visit the models rooms at the BWV - they just don't do justice to VWL or BCV-

visit WL and ask at the front desk for someone to show you VWL studios or 1-bedroom if they have any vacancy - they will -

also try this at OKW -

they have the models still set up at BCV - but your guide won't show you there unless you ask them to.

Oh forgot!

Congratulations and shortly Welcome Home!!!:bounce:
