On our last day we have to be ready to leave the resort with ME by 1:30...I'm trying to come up with a good last day activity or meal that will be the perfect ending to our vacation.
If we are going to go to a park I'd want it to be MK so that we are relatively close (we're staying at WL).
Right now on our rough itinerary I already have us doing CRT for lunch the day we arrive and the Princess Breakfast in Epcot on our third day. We don't have any other character meals, so I was thinking maybe a character meal the last morning. If we did that, which is the best in terms of food and character interaction. I can't decide based on characters since the girls don't really have strong feelings towards any of the characters at the remaining breakfasts, so I figured I would decide based on food and overall experience.
Or, is a character breakfast not the best idea for the last day? Would we be better off with a quicker breakfast so we can take a last visit to the MK and ride favorite rides and get last minute souvenirs?
What do you do with only a morning on your last day to end your vacation with magic?

On my last two trips, we stayed at Poly and we went to Ohana's character breakfast. My girls really seem to enjoy it and it is a good sendoff for us. This trip I had some time before we had to leave so DD and I went to MK and my older DD and DH went swimming. All ending our vacation doing something we enjoy.

We didn't want to feel rushed at all on our last day. We like it to wind down a little so on our last day we did the last minute look around the gift shop at POFQ and went swimming. My oldest daughter got a hair wrap and we ate lunch. It was a nice & relaxing time. Our transportaion came to get us around 1:00 or 1:30pm as well. The night before we ended with HDD Review.
A breakfast at Chef Mickey's would aslo work and is close for a final character interaction.

Unless you have an AP I wouldn't waste a ticket day just for a meal. I would pick a character breakfast at a resort hotel-- you'd have several to pick from.

Maybe do a little bit of last minute shopping in DTD also. We try to fly out mid morning's. However, when we have an afternoon flight we usually hit the outlets on our way out too (however, by the sounds of it you won't have a vehicle).

We have done meals at hotels on our departure day -- Breakfast at Boma at AKL and also Cape May Buffet with Minnie, Goofy, and Chip in Beach clothing. Both were a lot of fun. We have also enjoyed the food (more than the characters) at 1900 Park Fair in the GF. That strawberry soup was amazing.

DS & I will be having brkfst at Cape May on our last full day.
We have a 730am PS at Yacht Club Galley the morn we leave

started to make our return flight a bit later. This year, our flight leaves at 4:00. The past two trips, and this coming Oct, I hope to have our bags packed the night before, and catch a quick morning trip to MK. DH thinks it's not good, that it's a tease to spend so little time there before we have to catch our outgoing flight, but I disagree. I will take any time I can get at WDW, especially MK. Last year, we were able to grab a last ride on HM and a quick lunch at Casey's before heading to the airport. Makes it feel like a real "Disney World" day. We have done several character meals in the past, so although we love them, we skip them on the last day. I'd be eating and long for the rides....

We did the same as frann mentioned. Packed up our room at Pop and left our luggage with the bell services and headed for MK. We did a couple of rides and had lunch at Casey's. One long last look at the castle to hold us until the next trip. :goodvibes

Twice we had to leave our resort at 1:30, both times we did a half day at MK. Once we got a ride down Main St on the antique fire truck, when the driver heard we were on our way to the airport he let both kids ring the bell several times. He was really sweet and it was special. The second time we ended by watching the show on the castle stage. Last trip we had to leave our resort by 11:30 (BWI) so we had a nice breakfast at Spoodles, rented a surrey bike and acted very silly on it! :rotfl2:

In the past, we've had the tkts that were good from the moment you arrived till midnite of the day you leave. Our flights were usually around 4:00-4:30 and we headed to MK for one last hoorah. However, this year we are driving and dh wants to be on the road around noon :confused3 . I actually thought of getting park passes for that day, since adding the 8th day isn't very much at all. However, I've thought better of that and are now going to do a character breakfast. As nice as it is to have the park for one last ride, it is a rush and if it is hot when you go, you are just sweating and tired. I like the more relaxed approach for the day....

Our last morning we did the breakfast at 1900 Park Faire in the GF which was fun because we saw characters we hadn't seen anywhere else and the GF is beautiful and then we took the monorail to the MK for a last look. We rode the carrousel and got dole whip floats and just generally soaked up the last bit of atmosphere. :earsgirl: It was wonderful because we didn't feel rushed to do anything - we had ridded everything we wanted earlier in the week and so we really just savored being there (plus we picked up a few more souvenirs on the way out Main St! ;) ) It was hard to leave but that last little fix made it a bit easier.

Then you come home and start planning the next trip! :rotfl2:
