I hope someone can help me out here. My dd15 just told me that she wants to get a gift for her boyfriend - they've been "going out" for two weeks. I have no idea what girls this age buy for guys. Any and all suggestions are appreciated.

My DD's friend just asked us the same question for her 15 year old boyfriend, we suggested candy and an ITunes gift card so that is what she is doing.

I agree with the itunes card and candy; what else does the boy like? My DS15 is (I think) getting a book by an author he loves from his gf. Tickets to a movie they could see together (or putt putt, bowling, aquarium... whatever they enjoy) are another option.

I'll stick to the same suggestions on the other end...

Gifts relating to "like" (don't want to scare him off) and something extremely simple and candy/token related.

my DD's "sweetheart" (they're not really boyfriend/girlfriend, just went to a dance together and got each other gifts, they're 12, lol) got a gift card from her for a local video store to rent video games-and he spent it the same night he got it, LOL.

As I recall from my freshman year, gifts between couples were usually pretty generic- a movie theater gift cards, candy, video game giftcards, homemade cupcakes, things like that.

My dd (17) just made chocolate chip cookies and chocolate dipped pretzels for her "sweetheart"

Thanks for the suggestions so far. He is interested in computers and cars. He doesn't have an Ipod - he has an MP3 player so I don't know if an Itunes gift card would do him any good. By the way, he has just recently turned 17.

I think MP3 players can use itunes; amazon also sells individual mp3s, so she could get him an egift card to there. My hubby is a car fan, too, and he loves getting model car versions of his fave cars (they sell a bunch of them at Michaels/Hobby Lobby) to put together and detail.

I stand corrected on what my DS15 is getting - his gf is cooking dinner for him tonight. I don't know if her parents will be allowed to join them or if they'll be banished to another room. lol

he can still use itunes to download mp3s. I had a friend who had a boyfriend that really didn't have any hobbies so she got gift cards to a bunch of fast food places (only for like 5 bucks each), and made him some rice krispies and cookies, put it all together on a tray with a cute note.

I'd go with something generic like cookies or borwnies...maybe some heart shaped cookies. Or how about a keychain with his initials???

My fifteen (then) year old's girlfriend wrote him a poem and gave him a stuffed gorilla.

He's sixteen now and is currently unattached. :) He'd probably like something like a favorite movie on dvd or candy or cologne.

Some good ideas here - I'll run them all past her now and see what she wants to do. This is a first for us so I really had no idea of what she should get for him. Thanks again everyone!!

Great ideas:thumbsup2 OP, at 15 and only a couple of weeks together, I would stick with some homemade goodies rather than anything store-bought. Actually, I think this is always a good idea...
