Do you book everything thru disney all together? Or do you do it peice by peice yourself? How do you get codes for resorts? I stayed off site the last two times we went, we were scheduled to go end of the month had to cancel all ressies 3 month's ago and now it looks like we may still be going so I have to start everything all over again, and now dh wants to stay onsite to get in early plus the magic!

We are looking at All Movies or Music , AKL or my choice CR. I just don't know where the deals are at this late in the game. Any help appreciated.

I book each thing and have never booked a package, even for my non-DIS first trip. In general, $ can be saved if you don't book a package, at least that's what I've read here and that was my experience.

I think that you are too late for the general room codes. There are still annual pass rates, but, depending on how long you'll be there might not want to be the route you take.

How many of you are going and for how long?

Were looking at Nov 27 till Dec 3 And its 3 adults 1 child (4) I already looked into plane tics and I've got $160 pp rt. So I think that is a good price. And a mini van for 424.52 total. Is my next step to call all the resorts and get a rate or is it pretty much the same as online? Thanks

yes, call CRO and get a room only rate. You are too late to get a "code", but it will still be value season... a value will be around $77, and mod will be about $50-70 more. Trust me, it is well worth it. I have never stayed in a value, but would not hesitate to do so. There is nothing like being on property. And, especially, if this is one of your 1st trips to WDW, you will not be in the room much anyway. toll free # is 1-800-828-0228. (i think). it is thanksgiving weekend, you may have atough time, but be open and you will nevere regret staying on site!! have a greattrip and make sure you get tickets to Candlelight dinner package and MVMCP!! enjoy!! (we will be there 11/20-11/27 at ASMU- 1st time value, and 3rd time this year!!!)):bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc !!!!

I would call WDW and talk to them about your options. There might not be any codes at this point, but let them help you with your options. Of course you can price it out online, too. I just did a quick online look and you could stay at a value for 98.31/night inc tax and that includes the extra room charge for the 3rd adult. Staying that many night I'd be tempted to split my stay and stay value for 3 nights and then another place for 3 nights.

Happy planning!

Tigger and belle would you split your stay for money reasons or to experience a different resort. Again this is my first on site and Im all new to this . thanks to all who have responded thus fsar

Also we already have MVMCP tickets from when we first booked everything. I never got around to refunding them guess there was a reason.

As others have said you may be too late to have a general code applied, but...........people do cancel all the time. There is the possibility that a room may still be available using one of the codes. AKL is a good chance since there are so many rooms there. I use the Florida Resident code and we often plan last minute trips over to Disney. We usually get the discount no matter how close we are to the date that we are going.

Go to http://www.mousesavers.com/disneyresorts.html#discountmenu

Mousesavers~ lists all the codes and dates they are in effect. Maybe you can qualify for one. And then call CRO and try using one of the codes. Don't ask CRO if any discounts are available. You have to know what the code is already for them to look it up and check on availability.

Have a great, magical trip!

I tend to split my stays for both of those reasons. Too many resorts, too little time! This trip the bulk of my nights will be at an offsite timeshare (very unlike me ;) ), but my 4yo and I are meeting my mom and sister and my mom got her timeshare so the price is right. I'm going 4 days early staying at Port Orleans Riverside and then staying 2 days later and have ressies for Pop Century. I've stayed at Pop before, but would like to try Riverside.

In January I'm going with my 11yo for probably 5 nights. We'll stay at my son's top pick (Pop Century unless he changes his mind) for 2-3 nights and then Port Orleans French Quarter (my pick) the other nights.

For past trips we've stayed at WL (twice), AKL, CR, Poly (twice), CBR, CS, and Swan. Most of those trip were with my DH and all my kids so we sometimes needed the deluxe rooms in order to fit us all in one room.

You might also want to consider one of you getting an AP if the discounts are good enough (or all of you and then you can go back within the year!!!).

ADisneygirl, I've had luck lately with CRO giving me the codes, but that has been with the AP rate, so thet might be different than general codes as far as the CM giving out the information.

Here's something to consider: Since you're staying on site, you'll have access to the busses to take you from your hotel to anywhere on the WDW property. So, really, the rental van is just to get you to and from the airport. Instead of renting a van, how about catching a ride through Happy Limo or Mears Shuttle? It'll probably cost you about $100.00 so you save the $300.00+ from renting a car.

I started calling pretty last-minute also--they told me all the non-ap codes I gave them were either expired or only good starting next year. With the AP code, I can get around $100/night off at a deluxe, so I have reservations for that.

Of course, it will only be worth it if I make another trip next year--shucks...:teeth:
