Last minute trip

My inner child has given in to the pressure and I called MS this afternoon at 4:30... any chance of a 2 BR in any DVC resort for the 24-28th of February? Believe it or not, I had my choice! Both Saratoga Springs and OKW were available!! My kids and I desperately need this break so we called and invited my girlfriend and her 2 kids and maybe just maybe our husbands can come.... I just need a fix of the mouse and Julia really needs a hug from a princess! We will just need to do her chemo one day early and that shouldn't be a problem at this point of her treatment.
This is just another perk of DVC. I would never have been able to afford this "the old fashioned way" and even if I could, it probably wouldn't have occurred to me.

Yikes! I have been out of the DVC loop for the past year and a half (with bigger things happening). OKW definately wasn't for us when we visited a while back, but are you saying SSR is not so great either....
My first choice was BWV and then Wilderness. I guess I am just happy to be surrounded by all things Disney right now.....

The previous poster may have some issues with SSR, but you will find there are plenty of people who like it (including myself). Usually, there is more availability at OKW and SSR because there are more units. Depending on your taste, you may like SSR or you may not, but you will not know unless you try it.

There is nothing like the feeling of planning an unplanned trip! My sister & I will be at BCV 2/26-3/3 with my 2 youngest (DD7 & DS4) so if our princesses run into each other I will be sure to say hello My son is more like Stitch!lol

I have not yet stayed at SSR, but I did visit twice before I purchased and I think it's a beautiful location. The pool has the zero entry for younger kids and DTD is not far. My kids loved Goofy's Candy Company in DTD last trip. I'd be very excited to find availability last minute! Enjoy your trip!

I agree the unplanned last minutes trip are the best. My sister and I are trying to find a weekend to escape and do the sister thing nor the mommy thing.

In my eyes it doesn't matter where you stay it is the magic created watching the kids smile everytime they see DW like it'[s the first times even though it is the 5th or 6th.

THANKS!!!!!!! I told the kids this morning and they cannot wait! I am hoping my dh can make it down from NY, but we'll have to see. That all depends on the (hopefully) sale of our NY home. But it will be awesome regardless. NYMom, we'll be looking for you, but my DS5 is also more like Stitch, so we will be spending more time chasing and laughing. Julia (3) and my DS7 are just going to have to go along for the ride!
